Wondering if anyone knows if seaweed is okay to eat for someone on List 1 just moving to List 2 (i.e. as used in vegetarian sushi - like cucumber rolls)? Also, sunflower oil... I found these very tasty potatoe chips that only have potatoes, sunflower oil and sea salt in them. so far i haven't had any issues when i've eaten them, but wondering if Matia has ever specifically said anything about sunflower oil being bad for us.
Thanks so much for your input. Hope everyone had good holidays.
I don't think she would agree
I don't think she would agree to the oil. As far as the seaweed I used to do it and I think that the one for the rolls are fine I know certain ones are too much. I have used shrimp and crab in mine. I used to put avacado in it when i tolerated it. Cucumber carrot avacado and shrimp with the sticky rice and just hold the vinagar and the sugar. If you can have steak you can use the juice from steak as a soy sauce and add things like dill and or ginger if you can tolerate it. that makes a nice dip. I used to stick it in the food processor and then simmer it till it was thick.
out of curiosity...
do you happen to know why certain oils are better than others? like for example, why oilve oil and not extra virgin olive oil? i still don't quite get that one.but thanks for the input on the sushi. very helpful.
oil.
I have found potato chips that are made with olive oil. I am not sure if it is virgin olive oil or not though. I will find out the brand for you and post. They are a little pricey.
thanks, kriste
that would be great. i'm starting to think the sunflower oil may not actually be a good idea. i ate some more chips today and noticed that i started not feeling very well. that being said... i go back and forth so much i honestly have NO idea what is related to food and what is just regular ole flaring. sucks. anyway, would LOVE to get the name of the chips with olive oil.
chips
Aboros: The chips that are made with olive oil are Good Health Natural Foods. They have a website: goodhealthnaturalfoods.com
I think from what I have read that sunflower or safflower oil contributes to inflammation. I am not sure about the olive oil and why we can't have extra virgin olive oil.
They have a new flavor
I just looked these up online and they have a new flavor. Garlic and Sea Salt! Thanks to the tip on these! Tammy
