I feel like maybe i've read a little thing here or there about this happening, but it has been seriously disturbing me for over a MONTH now. My breasts usually hurt and are swollen a week before my period, but this is different and has persisted and seems to be getting worse. I spoke to Matia yesterday and she said not to worry, they will go back to normal and that there is a lot of lymph tissue in the breasts and you can end up with a lot of fluid there. Despite the fact she said it will be okay, i feel terrible about myself. I was already uncomfortable with the size of my breasts and now i feel like i'm toppling over, and of course they HURT. I don't fit into my bras, which for me is like going up 4 pant sizes- I am so self-concious about this area of my body. I am experiencing a lot of other die off right now (breakouts, losing lots of hair, terrible dry scalp... to name a few) and my self esteem is in the toilet. If anyone can tell me they have experienced anything like this and it truly will leave (hopefully sooner rather than later!) then it would be much appreciated.
Me too
I think that it is by God's grace that you posted this. I have been experiencing this a lot on my left side. I am terrified because I worry about things like inflammatory breast cancer, etc. I also have a huge lipoma on that side as well. I am on the opposite side of the spectrum in cup size... I am barely an A, let's call it an A minus. however, when my armpit and breast get congested, I am scared to death. I try not to think of it. I also have noticed thinning hair. One thing that makes me feel better is a very warm shower. I use the shower head and put it on massage mode and kind of get into that area. The best way to describe it is a congested armpit that extends into my breast. I also notice that certain foods will exacerbate that feeling, so maybe keep watch over that. "good" to know I am not alone. If you are feeling it like me, then we must be "ok". Keep me posted.
You guys are not alone
While no breast issues (except the desire for more-hah!), I'm also suffering w/ breakouts, losing lots of hair, very dry scalp, etc. It's hard esp. as a woman not to let it get you down, not to feel gross. Re: the hair thing, since mine has gotten so thin and flat, Matia said the hair thickness comes back 6 months after you get well... it's one of the last things to come back. Re: the scalp, would love any ideas anyone's got. My hair is such a pain to wash often, but if I don't the dry scalp's even worse.
Morracan oil
I have been using Morracan oil to keep my hair soft and supple. The oil comes from a seed and it is all natural. You can buy it at upscale hair salons. I think a lot of hair loss comes from vitamin deficiencies and the hair becomes brittle and porous and breaks easily. While this won't make the hair less porous, it will help protect from breakage. Also use a wide toothed comb and only comb when hair is 90% dry. Hair is very fragile when it is wet. Only blow dry when you need to and shampoo only every other day.
thank you!
Jeanette- I am so sorry you are in discomfort, but so glad I'm not alone! Such strange things happen, it's hard to get used to (acutally, I don't think you CAN get used to most of it!). I hope you are experiencing some relief. I've sort of "come to terms" with it for the moment, but can't wait for the day it's gone! Hoping and hoping... Thanks for the suggestion on the oil. I agree about it being fragile and breaking. It took me a while to learn not to comb it right out of the shower :(Lisa- Believe me, a larger chest is only more uncomfortable! I am not huge (a C) but I would give anything to just get rid of them (take 'em)! haha. Guess the grass is always greener... :)The physical issues are so frustrating- nothing like feeling gross on top of pain! I try and tell myself it means I'm getting better, sometimes it works. Too bad it doesn't come back for so long, I had no idea. I had thick hair to begin with and just before I posted was when I started to really notice how thin it's gotten. I got very upset, which I didn't expect from myself. There's something about losing hair that's particularly disturbing. Thanks for the comfort, always nice to know there are others in the same boat.
one side?
Uh...has anyone noticed one boob getting bigger than the other? this is so bizarro. on the plus side they're bigger (i too am an a-...now im an a+)!!they're also so sore. ouch. how long did this take for you guys to stop?
swelling
Yup! This happens to me sporadically off and on- my breasts ( A cup) sigh... will swell and get SUPER sore and I'll be kind of disturbed at the soreness but thrilled at the temporary fullness! Ha! Then post moontime ( mentruation)they deflate and its normal for a few months and then it comes back!So I think it can be a fluctuating thing- maybe depending on what your body is kind of focusing on? is that possible? I mean do you ever get that impression like sometmes the body is dealing with a couple of things at once but also has it has a certain issue its focusing on that maybe it didn't have the month before? - like for me-I'm struggling with digestion this month but last month it seemed like coupled witht he breast swelling I was also having alot of soreness in muscles /fibro stuff- like my body was DUMPING stuff into my lymph. it's always dumping stuff in my lymph but it just seemed more noticable to me. It's totally going to go away- and maybe have some reprises but ultimately yeah- it will. Also I have had benign cysts- that were probably hormonally related - and those while not common do happen. Good idea to get them checked out though to make sure they are not cancerous/malignant. I have not had the hair loss (yet) although I do get the dry scalp -imy hairt is REALLY dry and seems limp and lackluster. the scalp flakes are yeast. GROSS! but hydration is my only answer that and I made a distilled water and conditioner -dilute leave in conditioner spray when it gets what I like to call "Fro-ful". I have part straight wavy kinky hair and in southeastern us humidity it can get awefully frizzy!- Mary
