Forums:
so, i know a lot of us have talked about our pain getting worse around ovulation. for me, there is a definite increase in all my symptoms, vulvodynia and sacrum/glute/leg burning for about three days mid-cycle, but my vulvodynia kind of stays at an increased crappiness level for like 7-10 days (although only the three days are super hardcore bad). now, as i understand it, ovulation is really only about three days long, so wondering why things stay bad for so long mid-cycle. how long would you guys say your ovulation related mid-cycle bad spells last? just curious. thanks.
Hi
I have never been officially diagnosed with Vulvadynia, I went to the doctor once for the pain during sex and she sent me home with referral to a psychiatrist. I am not sure I have it, but I know I have sexual problems.Anyway, for me intimacy hurts (very tight at opening) and feelings like sand paper inside from days 16-29 (that is from right after ovualtion until my cycle begins again) I feel like this has to do with an imbalance in hormones after ovulation. Progesterone cream has helped me in the past, but I am not using it right now until I talk to Matia for my appointment, to see what she has to say.
I can count on feeling awful
I can count on feeling awful around this time for at least a week. Then I get a little relief but still feel pretty bad until day 1. Vulvadinia is the worst during ovulation. I feel like my cycle dictates how I feel...its so predictable and frustrating!
