i have been following the diet for 4 days but i have my period...and i am still flaring.,..is this y?
i have been eatin fresh meat, flounder,brown rice,potatoes,butter,olive oil,rice cakes,salad...i think the kamut bread is not workin for me...
i am going to see matia on oct 8th...could it also b cause i dnt have my herbs?

I am always my worst during my period. Hang in there at least your period will be over for your flight. Your foods sound fine you might cut the kamut for now till your a little more stable.Then you can always try again.during my cycle i snack on more veggies and up my protien a little with my meals to help with energy. I seem to be more hungry at this time too. use warm damp heat to help with the pain.
Diet
I have found I do not tolerate Kamut, spelt, potatoes, and butter. I can only use brown rice and brown rice flour as a grain. It is possible you are eating something that is causing it, but it has only been 4 days. Some people I read the diet helps within a few days, others it takes longer, even a month or more and some need the herbs to get relief. You may want to just eat one thing at a time and wait at least 3-4 hours in between meal to verify if it is a food. I know its a very boring diet, but it worked for me to find out. I also think basil bothers me, but only when I use a lot of it. I am 8 days in on list one *the third time trying this diet* and for three days now I have finally felt relief! It did take 5 days though until I felt better. I only went pee 9 times yesterday!!! That is a mini miracle for me, today I have only been 3 times as I write this, with no burning during the day and some at night but bearable. I am sure Matia will be able to help, I see her at the end of October for the first time. Please post a reply after you see her to know what she said.

I don't tolerate many foods, and I'm supposed to be on list 3! I don't tolerate butter, and potatoes might be questionable, and I don't tolerate brown rice flour, spelt flour, spelt or kamut bread, just brown rice. Watch out for the olive oil. I'm very sensitive to olive oil, and I think I barely tolerate the very light kind. Also, I don't do fish because I'm afraid of the fish oils given how much I've flared in the past on omegas and on salmon.

I realized
I realized yesterday zucchini is causing me symptoms so now I need to add that to the list of things not to eat on list one.:(If I could just eat eggs all day, I have barley any symptoms!
