I am not seeing Matia yet, in another 2 weeks. I bought natren step 1 and 2 from Iherb and opened them up tonight and put them in water together and drank them down. That was 35 minutes ago and now I feel WEIRD. Anxiety, weird feeling (tickle) in my throat, blurry vision,bloated fingers, itchy right eye. Am I not supposed to take them together, or is one pill of each too much? I am not sure if this is an allergic reaction or if its die off already? I know I have a yeast problem. I guess I should wait to take anything until I see Matia! I have taken many probiotics before this one and not had this effect.

Melissa,I would really wait before taking the probiotics until you get the EXACT formula from Matia you are going to need to start treatment. I started off with one mega and it was like 4-5 months before I got to the bifidonate and even then it was only 3 sips of 1/2 a capsule. Some folks report feeling an increase in anxiety with the probiotics but some report getting releif from their pain too. It's across the board and you might not even need them yet but probably will so I would just hold onto them for the time being. Your formula will shift and change in the future- but don't worry about wierd side effects - they will go away after awhile. Mary

Natren's probiotics are powerful! When my family went to see Matia, we were each given a different probiotic. I was given step 1, my daughter step 2, and my husband step 3. I had trouble tolerating them and hope to try probiotics again soon. Matia will decide which one is best for you after hearing your story. Today, I wrote to iherb and asked them to carry step 3 (the Digestalac dairy free capsules). If you send them a quick email, they may be more likely to carry it. They currently only carry the Digestilac in powder form, which is not approved for us. Matia's probiotics are reasonably priced in bulk although the shipping is higher than iHerb. The prices may be comparable if the probiotics are ordered with your monthly herb shipment.

I would wait to see Matia before trying. I have been in treatment for 17 months and still can't tolerate the probiotics. They increase my burning anf requency considerably.

I know you are so anxious to better, but IC is a very complicated thing and you need Matia's guidance. I have been seeing Matia for 6 years, and I still do not take anything without talking to her first. You will have more info in a couple of weeks. So hang in there, you do not want to stir anything up unknowingly.

Yeah, I am not taking anything again until I am under her supervision. Better safe then in more pain! Today my bladder has not been happy..but I am getting my period in a few days and that never helps.
