it is possible not often but
it is possible not often but possible. It has happen to me b4. Why don't you try potao flour
Yes
I can tolerate brown rice, but I am almost positive I cant eat brown rice flour because I tried it yesterday and flared. I am sure its not the veges in the muffins I made because I eat those every day by themselves without an issue.
Hey Sharon!
I feel your pain on this subject. I've been tolerating the brown rice but for some reason not the flour. I've tried using it for baking different things and get dissapointed after eating it and flaring. Not sure why?? It burns my urethra more than my bladder and makes urinating super difficult and painful. I even tried eliminating the baking powder and baking soda, thinking it was them, but still flared! :( This is a tough one especially after almost 2 years!
grains in general
I have been going back and forth trying to figure out if I have issues with brown rice (I dont tolerate potatoes), and today I did not eat much of it, or last night..and I had a great bladder day. Its so hard at the begining to figure out if something is flaring you or not! Cause everything seems to. So, I think I have not wanted to admit to myself that I do not tolerate any grains. I am really sad at this, that was like my one pleasure I had left, fried rice! I am almost certain Matia will be pulling grains from me this week when I have my appointment. I want to start a "no grains thread" and share recipes.

how did you make your fried rice???????? i love fried rice and clueless how to make it. I guess I just assumed it was made with sugar.xo
Fried Rice
I put a ton of olive oil in a frying pan, fried up some broccolli and celery. then I put the rice in and fry the rice in the pan after removing the veges. Then I add egg into the rice and cook it. Its not the same as the restruant, but still good. I add sea salt to taste. I like to cook mine so the rice is a little crunchy. Add the veges back in at the end.
Opps -forgot about recipe
to tell you the rice I put in is already cooked.
Thanks so much! I am going
Thanks so much! I am going to try this tonight!!!! How long did you let the rice fry in the pan?
fry time
At least 3 minutes each side, I turn it and watch it until it looks on the crispy side. Sometimes I throw cabbage in and fry it with it.

OMG...Thank you SOOOOO Much for the fried rice recipie! I had it last night and it was soooo good! I think it is my new fav meal! I added broccoli and shrimp though...mmmm mmmmm... I think I am going to make it again for lunch! The only bad thing is....my poor pan...I have stainless steel and it had to soak overnight because it was all stuck to the pan. Also, It wasnt crunchy like you mentioned and I had it 5 min on each side....Maybe I used too much oil or maybe not long enough...but it was DELISH!!!Thanks again!!
Rice
Yeah, I have stainless steal too, but its worth the wash:) I really want to get one good iron frying pan.I just spread one layer on it and cook it until its crispy, sometimes longer than 5 minutes. I am offically SURE now though that brown rice is the culprit of my flares. I am going to ask Matia if I can try wild rice or white rice, I think its the Oxalates in the brown rice that is effecting my urethra. I know white rice can feed the yeast though, so I am hoping I can try wild rice.Glad you found a meal you like:)
what about basmati? do you
what about basmati? do you think that would be different?thanks again for the tip...had it again for lunch!btw, your hair color is great. is that naturetint? LOVE it. what color is it? i am contemplating going to naturetint, but i love what my stylist does to my hair.
naturetint
yes, its naturetint, but it totally washed out after a few weeks. Now its like a dity blond (my natural) with a little redness. I miss blond..but its SO hard to keep up!
i read that red rice is the
i read that red rice is the easiest to digest and it is the protiens in the hull of the rice that makes it hard to do this. I wonder if that same reason effects the bladder because if I can't digest something that well my bladder does have a hard time too. Brown rice has that texture not as soft as white rice. Now i remeber tolerating white better then brown but for me I didn't do well burning wise with either the white was just less pain. I never tried the red though. I would think wild would be just as bad.
rice
Yeah Matia told me I could try wild rice, but she was not thinking it would be any different. I thought it was the oxalates in the brown rice, and I know wild rice does not have as high of an amount. What you say Nicole makes a lot of sense to me though, with anything I have a hard time digesting it effecting my bladder. I am nervous to eat too much white rice because I know it feeds the yeast more than the other kinds. I have never heard of red rice, I will look for it.
almond flour
Here is a gluten free blog. http://www.elanaspantry.com/ She uses mostly almond flour. Are almonds on list 3 or 4?
almonds are typically list 3.

Sharon
YUMMY. I cant wait till the day I can male those muffins on her blog!
Basmati Rice
Matia had me try Basmati rice, and I seem to be able to tolerate it better than regular brown rice. If you have trouble tolerating rice, you might want to give it a try.
