Forums:
I had my phone app with Matia on Wednesday of this week... now she started me on the Natren again and said to take one pill one hour after my other herbs and sf, so do you think she meant every time? I take my other stuff 3 times a day, and so do you think she meant 3? I have been only taking one... I should have asked her when I had time, lots of it!!!! I just wasn't thinking of that, until I looked at it later : / I emailed her that evening and haven't heard back.
Um.. this brings up another question for me, she is always saying to email her if you have a question, and not to take something unless you KNOW she says you should be, so how long does it usually take to hear back?
Also do know if they have ever done a 15 min app and less cost? I don't want to sound stupid, but this time I tried to write down a lot of questions, but I hung up with Matia 4 min early... it is like after 10-15 min she had all she needed to say and it felt a little weird... I am NOT saying I don't like talking to Matia, she is so helpful. But can someone tell me if this has ever happened to them, OR, good ways to make the most of your time? When you are paying 156 for 1/2 hour you want to make it count. I know that I am not a good phone person too, so this adds to it...
Thanks!

1. Yes, she meant take 1 Natren 3x/day, each time 1/2 hr after your other herbs. When issuing dosage changes, that's how she speaks, in per/dose mode.
2. From my experience and what I've heard from others, she usually e-mail replies very quickly... within hours or a day or two. Perhaps she didn't get this one or missed it? I assume but don't know for sure that she gets many many a day on top of her work hours and raising kids and maybe it's hard to keep up but I can't speak for her of course.
3. Your 15-min appointment question isn't stupid, I'm sure many others have wondered this as well. You could ask Lynn/Raquel whether this is an option at all. My guess would be no, because the billing is not so much about the time but about the appointment itself... getting her expertise and direction regardless of how long it runs each time... kinda like even a regular doc will charge you the same rate whether your appt goes short or long. I would also figure because she does not charge for anytime e-mail corresponding (which is an incredible thing for any doc to do!!) that this is unofficially "built into" the price or if not, is offered from her heart as a free added bonus and thus a reason why she wouldn't lower rates further. (Personally, I usually don't have the problem of not using all my time b/c I always end up bringing so many new questions each time!)
Hope this helps... L

That helps A LOT. it helped me to look at the whole picture, and see why the price is that much, and why it is 1/2 hour. Thanks so much. I will start taking 3 day, until I hear from her. And maybe if I don't I will just email her again next week.I am sure I will have more to talk about next time, as I am still new to this, and had just a few basic questions and add that to I'm not a phone person, that is probably why I felt like this. Thanks againKelsey
As questions come up
As questions come up throughout the weeks, I jot them down on my "Matia page" so I'm ready w/ my list for my appt..... if that helps you.
Yes, I would imagine it's a different dynamic on the phone, understandable.
My first phone visit with her
My first phone visit with her ended early too. But every visit I have had since thn has been filled! I am sure you will find that you will have more and more questions as things progress.Plus, I am sure email time is built into it as well. She has always emailed me back in a short time, never longer than 2 days. If she doesn't get back to you in a few days , just send it again. perhaps she just read it and her kids interuppted her or something and just never got back.enjoy your natren 3x a day! :)
Telephone Appointment
My first telephone appointent ended early too, but that was becuase I hadn't thought about questions in advance and also my symptoms hadn't really changed since my first meeting with her. I'm also not very good on the phone until I get to know someone better.
My next appointment is on Tuesday, four weeks since my last and I have built up a bit list of questions, also things are definately happening now and I'm curious to know what it all means. I think I might need nearly the full half hour this time.
As for emailing, I emailed yesterday because I was worried about something and I got a reply very quickly, at 5.35am LA time!!
Appointments
I usually fill up the whole half hour when I have my appointments, but if I run short, I ask questions about diet, herbs, or other areas of concern.
Just for those
who might be wondering and reading this for the first time and are new to this all... you will use your whole half hour and be glad for it! If you are like me and had some dead time the first time, it won't happen again. I have so many questions to ask this time, I will have to talk fast : )
