My biggest IC problem, by far, is this - I go to the toilet, pee, fine. But then I have to sit there for nearly up to 10 minutes and do up to 10 more small streams. Even then when I get up from the toilet, I could go again but it would only be a dribble.
I got scanned for emptying my bladder and was told I could (saw for myself my full bladder on screen and saw it afterwards, with only 4cc left), though it was noted that I had to sit for a few minutes to full empty to it.
Is this an IC symthom or something seperate to IC? I am not in treatment with Matia yet but am planning to do so,in the next few months, currently working on food issues, hence the delay in going. Do any of you have this? Does Matia treat this as well?

Matia will most definatly be able to treat this. It is caused by imflamation of your bladder, or atleast, this is what she has told me, when I asked her WHY I go through it. I still struggle with this, when I am flaring, and when I am nervous and have to be around a lot of people. I instantly have more frequency, but I sit and sit, and it's so hard to get it all out. It really is a terrible feeling, and I am very sorry you have to deal with this. But since being in treatment, it has gotten better. It used to happen ALL the time.
A thing that helps for me since it happens mostly when extremely emotionaly nervous or upset, is calm my mind as much as I can. I tell myself, "It is OK, you can relax. Be gentle with your body, give it time.".
Odviously this happens because your bladder IS inflamed, it's not just in your head. But as you go through treatment, this is what Matia works on. Getting your body into balance, and healing it. So it does not have to be inflamed.
Take care... and I wish you all the best with seeing Matia. You will not regret it.
