Hi guys, I posted ages ago when i was first looking at treatment, saying i was going for tests for bacteria, yeast and leaky gut. I only got them yesterday and I was told my gut is in great condition, I do not have an over run of bacteria but that I do have yeast. I was told that the test for leaky gut is very reliable and that it is a great result.
i would love to be happy with these results but I think I read people on here saying that they have had such tests, even numerous times, and they always came back normal. I understand that Matia treats everyone as if they have yeast and bacteria anyway?
Sorry guys, just so confused, I was worried about leaky gut because of my eating problems and would love to feel happy about the result but dont feel I can be.

Hi Taz,
Low and behold - a test that I've never had. How do they test for a leaky gut? I've always been tested over and over again for bacteria in the urine - which often showed up negative. Oh, and vaginal bacteria - also showed up negative. So, why did my urine smell funny, it hurt to pea, and I had weird vaginal discharge - odor and colors? I'm not sure why. All that I know, under Dr. B's care, it hasn't hurt in 8 months to pee. It is true that it still gets hot and inflamed down there, but it is so much better than it used to be.
I am not saying that this is right for everyone. Nor am I saying that I don't often have doubts. All that I know, is that I've taken a leap of faith and am slowing seeing things change and am hoping for the best.
Which is what I wish for you - The Best
me no like tests
At this point I don't take any Western test too seriously and I really wouldn't waste your money.
For one thing, you could indeed have an issue, but they say you don't b/c you fall under the "normal" limit, which is of course man-made, so it's arbitrary. (i.e. For years nutrtionists and other holistics talked about there being a subclinical hypothyroid phenomenon where even though people tested w/in normal limits, they had all the symptoms of low thyroid and responded well to treatment.... Now just recently that's becoming "accepted.")
For another, I along with many others have had endless tests that all turned up negative when in fact there was a clear issue. When I had the most major inflammation in my legs, all blood inflammation markers came back normal and nothing else could be detected. With my bladder I had many invasive tests and they concluded I have the healthiest looking bladder... certainly didn't feel like it! For centuries many illnesses were considered psychosomatic or craziness until we developed diagnostic tools or tests for them. Just b/c they don't yet have a test or effective test for it doesn't mean it's not there. Also consider what Matia says on it... I can't recall verbatim, but something like what we have is an unusual low-level type of inflammation even though it manifests so extremely symptomatically.
