Hi Ladies,
So, I am having a myriad of early-in-treatment issues. The most recent one is my mouth... particularly one molar in my upper right quadrant is putting my in quite a bit of discomfort. I had an x-ray and the dentist says no inflammation in nerve. I emailed Dr. Brizman and she has recommendations for an herbal remedy to try. Have any of you had tooth issues treated herbally? If so, I would love to hear about your experiences:)

A few weeks ago a molar on my upper right side was killing me, I thought I had a cavity since I have such crummy teeth. I didn't want to see a dentist as I don't want to be exposed to any more fillings. I was going to e-mail Matia about it but after 2-3 days it just went away and never returned, and it was really quite bad!
This is why I post here....
because you ladies are FANTASTIC! Sharing these stories are so helpful!
Emily- Yes! The tooth chart is really pretty interesting. I am currently reading the book Dr. B recommended.... the Web that Has No Weaver .. I am learning so much. I completely understand what you are saying.... like we need other glitchy things with us just to ram home the point we are out of balance... thanks for the reminder body;)
Christine- How are you? I am so glad your tooth pain cleared up so quickly. This whole tooth issue has been really very painful. I keep trying to put it in perspective, but my first three weeks since flying to LA have been a little tough.
I ordered the herbs Dr. B recommended today... hope they work AND get here quickly:)
How are your treatments going?
Katie
I have been doing very well
I have been doing very well all things considered! It's only been about 4 months of treatment with herbs for me but in that time I have experienced many days of having 0 to very low symptoms. I have not had a flare at all. I think the worse my pain gets is about a 3. I can eat most things on list 3. I have been sleeping great, my cramps are getting less little by little. Oh and just this week I was able to start taking 1 1/2 Bifido 3x a day! Let me tell ya, Bifido is not easy but eventually your body does accept it. I hope you too will soon stabilize and start feeling better, it will happen!
Christine- Great!
I am so happy to hear you are doing well! I think it is tremendously helpful that you found Dr. Brizman so early in your IC. I wish I had found this option 10 years ago... but I am here now:) Is Bifido the second stage of probiotic? Did you have a tough time with the Megadophillus? What makes taking the Bifido tough? I guess I am just preparing myself mentally for what is ahead. I keep telling myself that this is a marathon, not a sprint:)
It makes me smile to hear of all your positive changes:)

Mega usually comes first and
Mega usually comes first and from what I read most people are fine with it. Bifido comes second and for a lot of people it can cause pressure, increased frequency etc. I started with 1/3 a cap 3x a day and was ok but when I went up to 1/2 I had some increased pressure. It took about 3 weeks for me to be able to increase the dosage to where it didn't bother me. Right now I am fine with taking 1 1/2 cap 3x. Don't worry about it bothering you, just know that it is a possibility and Matia is very aware of this.
Update
Hi, I just wanted to update this thread I began in case someone new searches and wonders if the tooth issue is resolved... the answer is YES! The pain and pressure came and went for about two weeks, then morphed into a different sort of pins and needles feeling in my jaw. Finally, I am free of the tooth pain. I am only a few months into treatment so I understand this pain can come and go throughout treatment.
Bottom line... treating tooth issues with Dr.B DOES work and I avoided a needless root canal.
One strange pain down.... a few more to go!

tooth pain
Congrats! Not to be a bummer - but how are your heart issues coming along? I've been thinking of you.
Hi Denise! I have been
Hi Denise! I have been thinking of you too! We have not been as successful with my heart issues yet. Dr.B is very positive and always has new ideas, which I appreciate. I am frustrated that we have not been able to slow my heart rate down yet. I wake up in the morning and my heart rate is around 135...it calms down some during the day 100-120 range, but still no where near normal. It is just such a change from a few months ago.. when I was a 60-70 beats per minute girl!
By the way... I love your comments... you always have a way of making me smile:)...especially the one about the "head" vibrator for your sinuses:)
The good news is that my bladder is doing really well. Although, I am starting Bifidus today, which I hear read really throws some people for a loop, I suppose that signifies some sort of step to a next level. I keep thinking of what you wrote in another post.... if this wasn't so damn painful, it could be kinda humorous. I feel like I just keep patching pieces together...lol!
I can't wait to be able to write a positive update to my heart issues, but I am not there yet:(
How are YOU?
Katie
Thanks for the compliment
I love to be funny - or try to. I tell my family, who gets tired of me, that at least one of us is having a good time. :)
Just to be an arm chair doc - have you had your thyroid checked out? When mine was out of whack my heart was doing all kinds of wierd things.
As strange as this is, my anxiety levels are really low, my muscle pain is down, I have energy, rarely had a headache, but for the first time in months feel a bit hot and uncomfortable "down there." HOWEVER, last weekend I was really, really, bad. I was out to dinner and ordered a blended berry margarita and ate half of a dessert. I haven't fallen off the wagon this extreme for over a year. Well, now, it seems that I'm paying for it - or the lady parts are. Oh, and my right ear is ringing again.
Thank you for asking about me - I am so happy that you're coming along - as will your heart!
Great thought! Yes, I just
Great thought! Yes, I just got back all of my blood work back (including my thyroid) and it all came back completely normal! I have mixed feelings about that too.... on one hand I would love to be able to point to a result and say AHA! fixable. On the other hand, it's nice the rest of my systems seem to be operating as they should. Please be an armchair Doc... I appreciate learning from others experiences.
I feel so happy for you that you are feeling well. And as for the drink and the dessert.... that sounds awesome.. I understand why you fell off the wagon a bit:) It also gives me lots of hope that you have overcome tremendous obstacles and are now feeling well:)
Thank you for the heart felt wishes.... especially for my heart:)
