i found a very cool website/blog that recommends restaurants in nyc that are not just gluten-free, but allergy friendly (i.e. they are very open to accomodating diners with multiple allergies). i don't live in nyc, but grew up there and so am there often to visit my family, so while i haven't tested any of these recommendations, i do hope to. this woman's blog in general is pretty cool, but particularly love the restaurant recommendations page - she even shows which restaurants have a book available (upon request from the manager) that lists all the ingredients in each dish. hope this ends up being a good resource for people:
