Just a follow on from my call for help on Friday.
Again at work today I had to meet with a doctor as part of my job role. A different doctor, softer, more respectful. However she asked how I was, was I getting better etc. I took a deep breath and said that I hoped she did not mind but I would rather not discuss my health. She pushed a little harder, and I politely stated again that she please not take offense but I have made the decision not to discuss my health as I find it helps me not to. She clearly did not want to leave it but was not offended, did respect my wishes and we continued with our meeting.
It has given me a little more confidence to be able to state quite clearly my wishes and not to feel bad about doing so. I just wanted to share this with you as I know that we can all at times find it difficult to avoid conversations about our health that we would rather not have and can often lead to feelings of anxiety.
Sending you all my warmest affection.
