Perhaps this is a silly question, but it's on my mind so I'll ask anyway. My dad is currently being treated for cancer and is having radiation every day for the next 3 weeks. I haven't seen him since he started the radiation therapy, but I'm just wondering if there is any ill effects for us ICers from being in close contact with someone who is receiving lots of radiation. I only ask because I could go see him tomorrow after he has his daily dose in the morning or I could wait til Sunday when he'll have had 48 hours off from being "irradiated".
I feel silly asking this - as clearly his cancer isn't about me- but I dont want to end up with extra pain and not be present enough to support him if I can help it!
I am not sure Claire, but I
I am not sure Claire, but I think you will be okay. I hope your dad will get on the other side of this soon!
Sorry Claire. I am so sorry
Sorry Claire. I am so sorry to hear about your Dad. My first thought is that we are exposed to radiation every day. I don't think it lingers like that? If it did then x ray technitians would probably not want to do their jobs?
If we don't excel at health, the only other option is disease.
