These are small things that have made me happy recently- I love hearing about others who have kind of ingeniously adapted to adhereing to the proticol. You kind of pick up things that work for you within the limitations you have. There is endless creative possibilities as you go along - whether in food or cosmetics or mindset. Here are two i realized. they may be more applicable to those who have been in treatment for longer but maybe not.
For those that -tolerate coffee but wish they didn't have to just drink it black- (although I have kind of grown to love it like that!)
also for those who can have yogurt but cannot tolerate milk- simply skim off a tiny bit of the whole milk plain creme top yogurt (Stonyfield Farm- is what I use) a dollop about the size of a nickel place it in a glass add a teeny amount of water and stir it up- voila instant coffee/tea creamer. mix it up with the water really well - it will clot a little bit.
I have been using jojoba oil at night on my face- I put a little bit on my eyelids/eye sockets or when I wear eyeliner to remove it and just because I love its soothing qualities and I noticed that my eyelashes for the first time ever in my life- now I have really long snuffalufagus eyelashes! True they are blond and kind of invisible except in certain light unless I wear mascara. I read somewhere that olive oil or jojoba oil can make your eyelashes grow more luxiouriously I think it's true! I just wanted to share those little tricks. They are small and maybe not for everyone but I'm kind of excited about them. It's lately really all about the small details that give me pleasure lately!
I think its important to have kind of coping adaptations cause we are srestricted so much it feels like a punishment or something so I like it that there is like some kind of alternative. So if you have any other such discovery please share it-whether it be food or benefit. I realize this could go under the little positive things but I can't figure out how to transfer it over. good night or good morning or good afternoon.
Love to all,
Mary
