Rhodiola

Is anyone else taking Rhodiola?  I have been on it for a little over 2 weeks.  It is making me jittery and I'm not sleeping very well.  Also has anyone noticed worse bloating and gas while taking it?

I'm also taking rhodiola. It helps with my mood a great deal, but I've found that I can't take it after around 3 in the afternoon or it makes it hard for me to sleep. So I usually take it in the morning and afternoon and not at night. It lessens my anxiety and also makes me feel happier overall.
It's also important to make sure you take it with the probiotics if Matia told you to do that. I ran out of Bifido for a while and kept taking the rhodiola without it and found that it had the complete opposite effect of what it was supposed to. She said that it's super important to take the probiotics with it (at least for me). The bifido DOES make me more bloated though, so maybe that's what it is for you, too.

Where do I get this one?  Is this one of her herbs?  She just switched me.

I get this from iherb. I haven't experienced sleeping troubles with it, but it definitely increased gas and bloating.

I recently started on rhodiola again and am noticing, when I try to go to sleep, a kind of anxiety and racing heart as I being to drift off. It's kinda like that "falling" feeling, but instead of falling I just feel almost like I can't get enough air in my lungs and I wake up in a panic.  I know it's from the herb and wondered if anyone can relate?  Once I calm myself down and do fall asleep, I sleep great on it.  It's the initial part that is driving me mad.

Hi, I am on rhodiola as well (for about two months now). I seem to be doing very well on it, but I know what you mean. I had the panic and "not enough air" feeling for awhile... a couple weeks... very scary.. and then it passed. The difference is that my heart actually was racing pretty fast before the herb so when I feel the heart racing feeling it is difficult for me to discern whether it is from the heart issues I have developed or from the herb. After those initial two weeks, it helped to calm my anxiety and leveled out my mood greatly.
Sleep is so precious, I understand why you would be frustrated. Have you been doing better after the recent regression/water issue? Hope so!

Katie, thanks for your input, I feel much more at ease knowing this. I have been slightly better with the spring water, yes, but still not as great as I'd like. I get so frustrated with the lack of progress and the continual strict adherence to the diet that I find myself treating myself to dark chocolate now and then. I do great for a week and then say, well if i'm going to constantly have this burning no matter how good i am i may as well enjoy myself and have a treat. Ugh. This is my new hurdle to overcome. I crave chocolate like mad. Anyone else?
