I have had persistant redness, flaking skin, and pimples on my nose, and I just found out from my dermatologist that it's rosacea. Does anyone else have this? I'm hoping this will calm down as my body gets healthier. For now, I'm putting a thin film of Dr. B's lotion on it and on my cheeks and it's helping.
Hi Lisa! Hmm, I have been
Hi Lisa! Hmm, I have been getting rather concerned and thinking of going to a dermatologist, because I too have recurrent pimple like bumps on my nose and is red and peeling skin. This all started when I was 15 and comes and goes, but for the past 2 years it has gotten bad and stayed. One spot in particular seems like the skin/pimple is healing then just starts all over. Wish I had an answer, but I too have been using the bomasense lotion and seems to be helping a little. Glad to know I am not alone with this. Maybe I should still go to the dermatologist to have it looked at?!
HI, I could not help but post
HI, I could not help but post... I have had this on and off in my adult life, and it got so, so much worse in treatment and nothing topical (that was allowed) was helping. A few months ago I tried zinc cream (ointment) and it totally and absolutely solved the problem. Rosacea around my nose and mouth just gradually disappeared. BUT it has to be pure (I was careful about unnecessary chemicals), mine was zinc oxide, lard, sunflower seed oil and a bit of white vaseline (really a little bit). I have no idea if dr. B would allow this, I just wanted to post because I remember how desperate I was having it on my face on the top of everything and this helped so much!
I have had so many insane
I have had so many insane skin things happen during this treatment and I think it is just a way for our bodies to clear toxins and exhibit imbalance. It's terribly annoying and embarrassing, but I believe that it may just be a necessary part of healing. Every time something has gone bananas with my skin, nothing I put on it helps but it eventually resolves once my system can take care of it. Patience and humility with IC yet again!
I have been researching high
I have been researching high linoleic acid-containing oils such as polyunsaturated safflower or sunflower oil (read reviews on Makeupalley to be sure you are using the right oil), or cold-pressed hemp seed oil (all need to keep in fridge or freezer with bathroom bottle changed out weekly, store in dark dropper bottle in bathroom). Google or email me if you want more info. I am using two drops on my face for acne. It has had very good reviews for rosacea but might be strong so have to check with Dr. B. For nose/cheeks you may only need one drop.
If we don't excel at health, the only other option is disease.
(Note that Aya's suggested
(Note that Aya's suggested product contains a high-linoleic acid oil in it-sunflower oil. This is not a coincidence! )
Forgot to mention the obvious for anyone reading! (CHECK WITH DR. BRIZMAN!)

Thanks everyone! I will
Thanks everyone! I will definitely talk to Matia about this.
yep I was diagnosed with
yep I was diagnosed with Rosacea. Did some research and it's another poorly understood and poorly treated diagnosis... basically it's just another symtpom of a weakened immune system and should get better as your body gets stronger :)
