Self treatment & Vitiligo

I am finally seeing sense and taking note of those who told me it was fool hardy to self treat.  Like my IC I'm as stubborn as a mule but the games up, no more self prescribing for me!  I stupidly thought that the rash on my arm was from die off but have had it confirmed as vitiligo.  It's been growing in size since starting the supplements and it's quite clear that there is no pigment in the area on the inside of my arm which is now 4x3 inches.  if this had been my face I'd be very mad.  Again I don't want to scare any newbies, I would say do the diet until you can get further help or just get further help.  Don't try winging this thing on your own - I fear I may have altered my blood cells with my blind supplementing.  I've learned a lesson at least.  I've not checked but I think this could be permanent and as always if anyone has any info please throw me a line :)

Oh I'm sorry to hear that. My Aunt got that but unfortunately I don't know anything about it. I hope you can get better soon.

Thanks Calieve.  I'm really quite surprised that noone on here has it.  It started as a small bumpy rash and just grew into a kind of space thats white on the inside with inflamed skin at the edges.  I also have it on my face in my hairline.
I'm going to speak to Matia just to make her aware of it in case someone else develops it.  I've a feeling I've not been eating enough or something and have starved my body of nutrients.  I know there is a connection with this condition and B12.

Matia's diet is rich in B12. Maybe u went too hard too fast on the supplements and its major die-off?? Shows the difficulties of self-treating. Before I found Matia I tried to self-treat (and I am a Western herbalist). It didn't work and neither did consulting other well-respected herbalists (both Chinese and Western). It was a waste of time and money. Matia is the expert in the field.

Hi
Dr B kindly emailed me and said it was most likely overuse of the supplements which makes perfect sense to me.  I'd given myself too deep a clean - oops!

I'm really hoping that the pigment will come back now that I've stopped taking everything.  Fingers crossed ..
