Hello:
I wanted to ask what kinds of smells bother everyone, how soon do you feel it in your bladder, and how long those reactions last??
I've never had such problems before, but being in this for the second round after pregnancy, my hormones are not back to normal yet, and it seems that I react to all kinds of smells that other peoples totally ignore or don't seem to notice at all.

For me it's perfumes and chemicals like anything from lysol brand seems to set me off. Plastics. fresh ink anything fumey. I usually get a headache as a reaction and then it will only bother my bladder if I keep smelling it. Nail polish will bother my head and my bladder almost instantly and last the whole day. As long as I am around it it bothers me and then it usually takes me a day or two to recover from it depending on how long I was smelling it. If it was only for a short while it will only bother me that day but i know others who are more sensitive. I have gotten better about this. cleaning products that are harsh seem to take longer effect on me so i only use natural ones. I will get a headache in department stores often now i do most my shopping online so I don't get those terrible headaches.

Nicole:Thank you for your repply! For me the most difficult part is that nothing, but my bladder reacts to these smells, so no warning signs for me at all. I just have to kind of guess if this or that strong smell will kill me later :(When you say it bothers your bladder, do you get more urgency or it is similar to reaction to foods. With me, parfumes feel the same as if I had some hidden alcohol in the sauce in a restaurant.
Smells
I have a terrible time with odors and have had for years now. I think I have multiple chemical sensitivities. I react to new carpet, paint, perfume, cleaning products, plastics, just about everything. It is hard to deal with. I have read that sensitivity to odors is not uncommon in people with fibromyalgia (which I also have). It must be an immune system problem.

I get a pain in the way of burning frequency and urgency and the longer i am exposed the longer it takes for the flair to go away.
