Sunscreen?

Do you use regular sunscreen on your face or make-up that has sunscreen daily?  My face is getting sun spots.  I would like to protect it but don't want to put anything bad on it.  Matia's sunscreen is too thick to put under my make-up everyday.

I suggest a loose mineral face powder -- most of them are zinc oxide which automatically gives you safe, natural sun protection.  That stuff covers well without looking thick at all, and even when my face is in the sun for hours, the rest of me can burn but my face stays white -- I actually wish it woud catch a little color- hah.

Do you have a one you would suggest? I am going to try the Bare Minerals (it only has like 5 ingredients) in the next few days. I have a makeup that I love, but I know that, although compared to others it is not too bad, it is still not good to put on my skin everyday due to some of the ingredients.
I tried Zuzu Luxe duel face powder (by Gabriel) this past week, and will be returning it. I don't think I had the right shade, but besides that it was too drying on my skin, even after putting olive oil on and letting that soak in first. It made me look like I was wearing a dull mask.

Yes, please tell us what brand of face powder has worked for you.

I don't know the name because it's apparently made by wholesaler who sells through retailers....it's custom-blended shades where they color-match you in person.... used to get it from a salon, then the salon closed but the owner still does it out of her home.  However if you send her a pic & give her your info (i.e. need redness coverage or have yellowy skin) I think she can put something together for you, and I think she does samples.  They're $40 and they last a long time, 6 months?.  Her contact info:  barbara@cosmeticsdujour.com  (If you do contact her, please tell her I referred you.)
As far as ingredients, it's so-so.  After starting with Matia I must've ordered 20 different brands of more natural mineral makeups.... trashed/returned them all.... either colors were awful or coverage insufficient/blotchy/weird.  So I came back to this mineral makeup.  I esp like it b/c it's the only makeup I've found that gives very good coverage yet doesn't look heavy or like you have a lot on... it kinda sinks into the skin... also it's matte (but not drying) so good for oily skin.

the info... that is good to know
I tried Bare Minerals (spf 15, original powder) today, and am pretty impressed. It stayed on all day, and the color I got matches perfectly. They also sell a Matte one, for people with more oily skin. I am going to try it a few more days and see how it goes. It covers very well, or you can build the coverage easily. I think the ticket is to have a good brush to apply it with too.
Thanks again, if I change my mind about Bare minerals, I might be looking into the Lady who makes it for you! : )

Please update us on your opinion of Bare Minerals after you have used it for a while.  The reviews on-line look pretty good.
