Hi Claire! Sorry to hear about this. I get this with the salivary gland in my L cheeck. Not sure why, but it comes and goes. When I get it there the gland gets all swollen and get an open sore that has pus in it. Not a fan!

Hi, I have a gland under my jaw/beside my throat that swells periodically for almost a year as well.  It can get painful, at one point I took antibacterial herbs to bring it down.  I haven't noticed a relationship between food and swelling.  I don't know what triggers this.  Dr.M suggested the qi gong classes I started might have moved lymph around.  I don't have any suggestions, this must be painful in conjunction with ear problems.  Mine goes away and I forget about it, I hope yours does soon too.
