Hi all, does anyone know if I will be ok to take my probiotics in my carry on luggage? Not even sure of the size of the bottle or whether it's ok to have glass. I'm flying Ryainair to Italy for 4 days.
Thanks,that irpor

I don’t know about Ryanair
I don’t know about Ryanair (international travel). But I successfully carried them on in a small
little collapsible cooler with frozen gel packs out of the Columbus, OH and
Sacramento, CA Airports last weekend. I
was nervous both times but nothing was said to me about it. I just put the
entire bottle in a quart size back with the ice pack. I had some cucumbers and cauliflower in the
cooler too so it all worked out quite well!

HI missmadmolly, I'd get one
HI missmadmolly,
I'd get one of the girls from Dr B's office to email you a letter that allows you to bring probiotics and bottled water etc on board with you so you're 100% sure. They can do this really easily.
Thanks girls. These airports
Thanks girls. These airports are so strict now, it really is a pain. I'll try and find out some more.
I've just travelled from UK
I've just travelled from UK to Tenerife for a holiday and I took my probiotics in a cold bag with small ice packs which I got from Sainsburys.
I also put my own packed lunch in the same bag and there were no problems with security at all.
I flew with Monarch but Ryan Air should be the same.
Thanks Carole, I phoned
Thanks Carole, I phoned ryanair and they told me I'd have to get a doctors letter and call the special assistance line! Talk about over the top! Were yours still in their glass container too?
Yes they were in the
Yes they were in the bottles.
I can't see the problem really, they are just nutritional supplements, its not as if you want to carry liquid through security. Ive never seen anything in the security info about not taking supplements or medication through.
I've always done this and I have flown many times since starting treatment.
Haha but obviously not with
Haha but obviously not with Ryainair. They won't allow glass either & all medications have to come with a doctors letter. My doctor has said that I won't need a letter for them even though the person I spoke to said I would. We shall see.. I'll be fairly disgruntled if they conviscate them, considering how expensive they are.
Thanks for your replies.
