Safe Household Cleaners???

I have been concerned about all the cleaners I am exposed to for some time.  I am wondering what is safe to use/inhale/get on your skin.  I looked up how to make your own safe household cleaners online, and they recommend using vinegar, rubbing alcohol, and borax.  I am unsure though if these cleaners are safe to inhale or get on your skin, if they could flare ic or not, esp the alcohol.
What about just plain ol soap and hot water???  for pete's sake, I wash my dishes with that, and I EAT of off them!!  Isn't that enough to kill germs?  But I know not all soaps are safe.

Matia, or anyone, do you have any recommendations??

I actually think if the products are natural or not you should use gloves and open the windows. Even if they are natural, like a lot of the orange cleaners on the market, they may be too intense for you if you are very symptomatic. And, if you are in a wellness phase of treatment, I think it is still a good idea. I must confess there are a few things that I use that are not natural, like my dish washing soap and I do get it on my hands sometimes. I dont think this is a good idea, I have gotten lazy a little--not good. But, the sopa I use to wash my dishes is natural (7th generation)--that one is so gentle I think it is OK for your hands. You can kind of tell by the smells. But, again if you are really symptomatic, then you should always use gloves and open windows.

Gloves are great I do wear them even with the natural cleaners. You know what my favorite thing was though I bought a steam cleaner from big lots for 20 dollars. I later bought some extra floor attachments for it totals around 45. I use it everywhere and it really cleans. The only problem with mine is that the chamber is kinda small so I have to wait 5 min to fill it up but in a way it's good because it forces me to take a break.
I use the seventh generation glass cleaner and laundry detergent and the chlorine free bleach for my whites. I also use the chlorine free bleach for my toilet. I just dump about a cup in my bowl let it sit and then give it a swish with the scrubber. I use my gloves and I get those bleach wipes for the top of the bowl. I find the orange ones do best with me. If you have carpets baking soda works great to stop a stain from setting I do this with clothes too. just let it absorb it all and then vacuum it and the stain should be gone. With my clothes I just toss them in the wash after it has soaked the stain.
