I've been trying to do a diet of meat, veggies, and very limited/ no dairy. I seem to do a little better eating this way...problem is, its so hard to maintain and whenever i try too add anything back all my problems get worse. Things i used to eat all the time like brown rice, splelt, mozzarella etc that never bothered me before make me sick. So my questions are, have any of you experienced becoming more sensitive to certain foods for periods of time and second, have any of you had to go on a diet like this to feel better? If so how long? I know we are all so different but it'd be nice to know if there are others that have been in a similar situation

Hi Tawni,
I'm sorry this is happening to you - this hasn't happened to me in the same way.  I've just had other weird symptoms thankfully go away, only to return again.  I know that it's disheartening and scary.  At the moment, all this crap is flowing out of my nose (I know - socially unacceptable conversation)  I thought that had ended a couple of months ago.  Acceept now, it gets even better, my nose feels like it's on fire and when some of that crap got on my skin, it actually left a red burn mark that still stings a bit an hour later!
Anyway, back to you - does Dr. B know?
Is there anything, that Dr. allows for you to eat that's calling to you?  I've found that if I listen to my body, it often tells me what it needs - albeit wierd crazy cravings.
Hang in there!
Denise

Tawni,
I know. This has been a big issue for me lately... I am finding this to be true for me too. In the beginning I ate rice and spelt and kamut and other list 2-some list 3 things ( after a year list 3) and I think it was easier back then to tolerate things. Then againMAYBE they were bothering me- in my bladder at least and I just couldn't tell cause the static of inflammation was too high. In any event I feel that my stomach is VERY sensitive now to things like cheese/yogurt/almond butter/yeast free bread other random things out of nowhere will just not feel good when i eat them. I have taken out alot of things. I am still eating raw veggies- pretty much fowl and beef exclusively and potatoes most of the time.   I am tolerating rice okay but I HAVE to eat it with protein or it seems to bug me - bladder/vv a little bit and tummy most definately. We are reallllly working on the small intestine right now. I have had alot more stomach than bladder symptoms this last 6 months. Right now the VV pain is kind of kicked back up- but my stomach is little bit better. I keep really going back and forth between these two things. Mybladder pain is better and it in general feels more toned/stronger. Its really like the condition is moving out and down out of my body-  I dont have any frequency or urgency or really much urethral burning but my pelvic floor muscles and labia sometimes feel like they have been KICKED like bruised in places. The nerves get turned on with applied pressure/sitting and burn sometimes and its unbearable. What a freaking horrible horrible screwed up condition this IS!  My diet is the most limited it has ever been but I also have days where I FEEL so much better and my pain is very low too- but when we start a new thing new addition to the formula to push further I have trouble adjusting right away and certain foods can aggravate things. I ams till fighting constipation. A little discouraged but pushing through anyway. This feels like suuuuuuch and old part of the illness coming up and out of the tissues of my pelvis. sending healing thoughts and energy to all of you. love Mary

My diet has been getting more restricted as time goes on.  I tolerated veggies better at first than I do now.  I have never tolerated whole grains.  I mostly eat potatoes.  It seems like everything flares my bladder these days.  Matia is working on my small intestine with the probiotics, but I never tolerated them well.  I finally found that Kyo-dophilus works the best for me, however my bladder isn't doing well.  Not sure why.  This is a crazy disease.
