I have a couple of questions. First when people travel with an airline where do you put your probiotics? In the past i always carried on what i needed for the day but the rest i put in my checked baggage. Is there any way they could freeze there and become in active? Do you put ice with them?
Another question about food i am on list 3/4 . What kind of crackers do you guys use? Seems like everything has small amts of sugar or preservatives ? Any brands i could look for i live in eastern Canada no Wholefoods etc.

Traveling with Probiotics
I recently flew and had to take a week's amount of probiotics/herbs... I put the bottles of probiotics and herbs in a lunch bag, and put the same ice bag that Natren uses when you buy them online and they ship them to you. I packed that in my check - in luggage.
I don't eat crackers, but I eat the spelt biscuits(the recipe is on this website) Let me know if you need it.
Probiotics
Since i have to travel to the US to get my probiotics i spoke with someone expert at Natren. they told me that since where the checked bags goes gets sooo cold the probiotics will die unless they have an special packing like the one they use to send it to us. It cant get to hot or too cold bc they will die eathier way. so since i have to buy for several months i always take them with me in the cabin. I take them with a bag and the ice they use in Natren. They also told me that they are ok for 24 hours at room temperature. Good Luck
Hi Veronica, How many of them
Hi Veronica,
How many of them can you take with you in your carry-on? I try to take only a day's worth when i travel in fear of them being not allowed on the plane. Also, last time i checked them in a lunch box with an ice pack, i realized they opened my luggage to inspect. I had one of those hard case ice packs. I will go online to check natren and order their ice packs. I spoke with someone at Natren too and she told me up to 6 hours you can leave them in room temperature. Then at whole foods they told me 8 hours. So when i go to work, i put my probiotics in a different pill case and put them in the fridge until i drink them.
Wow Veronica, you have to fly
Wow Veronica, you have to fly to the U.S. everytime to get your probiotics? And here I am stressing about getting mine on time before they run out. Wow that is tough. So how do you do it with herbs? Can you order those online. Because my protocol gets changed every month, I have to order new stuff everytime. How do you do it? Just stock up on everything?
Hi
I think that most of the time i take like 10 bottles of the 90 capsules. Sometimes they check them when you go by security, but once they find out is nothing but a supplement is ok!! Usually i bring them with ice but sometimes i have not and the are at room temperature for like 9 hrs. Then as soon as i get home i put them in the refrigerator. When i go to work i usually have them with ice in a lunch box because i am a tour guide here in Costa Rica . They are always ok like that.
