I hope you can help me out here a bit!
Has anyone of you being tested for Lyme disease? The more advanced tests were they go in and find not only antibodies, but also DNA through PCR technique?!
From what I understood, lyme can cause IC and other symptoms, and people with lyme are often misdiagnosed with other diseases, like IC etc.
If you have been tested postive for Lyme? Have you tried antibiotics? Long term?
Hoping for answers!
Thank you!
lyme, partners, etc
Hi Kristina,
While I don't have lyme, my boyfriend does, and he's done antibiotics and now does a lot of different herbal and prescription things. Nothing seems to particularly help him. He's started using something called a rife machine that zaps the spirochetes at their electromagnetic frequency.
It's true that a lot of the ways that lyme acts are similar to how IC acts in the body. I think they're similar because both issues involve microbial overgrowth and low immune function. If you're seeing Matia, I think she could shed some light on what you might look into doing if you're concerned you have lyme.
By the way, I saw your other posts about partners and symptoms- Matia says to me that it's important I not get exposed to my boyfriend's fluids because he's got all those lyme organisms that would irritate me. There are a lot of threads and posts on this site about sexual partners and IC symptoms, and Matia says that your parther can often contribute, if not be the cause of your IC.
I talked with someone who
I talked with someone who apparently has Lyme (she said she did the new advanced test, perhaps the one you speak of? I don't remember, and it showed she had it). She is not a Dr B patient, I just connected w/ her becuz my cousin's friend was her mom and thought we could talk since we both are young with serious physical problems, haha.
Her constellation of symptoms in some ways is very similar to IC patients. Though she doesn't have bladder stuff, she has a lot of gut stuff and a ton of other symptoms that all seem too crazy and unrelated. Poor thing, she has been ill for so many years, like 15 yrs, since she was college. She has done long-term antibiotic therapies and many other treatments. Clearly, as she's still very sick and getting more new weird symptoms, it hasn't helped, and I get the sense though I could be wrong that it just made her worse. She's still very sick and looking for answers. She goes through cycles of doing 'better' at least relatively, then worse where she can't do much at all. She's severely limited her diet based on what she's found to be issues. She's doing & often did many treatments at once, so I imagine it's hard for her to even know what's working, that's one 'advantage' to Dr B's treatment. So perhaps this makes you feel better in the sense that if people are telling you why don't you do regular medicine, as if that would suddenly make you better anyway! or you might do it of course. Others out there with our types of symptoms aren't necessarily finding answers/help from traditional medicine.
I agree w/ the other poster that even if it is Lyme, it's probably more the trigger than anything, so we could all have different triggers but that's not even the root cause, it's the imbalance within us that's the real problem, and since Matia says healing that is the key to healing ourselves, hopefully she is right.
