Adrenergic Urticaria

Are there anyone with IC that also happened to have Adrenergic Urticaria?

It is a skin condition characterized by small red spots with a pale/white halo around it and is caused by emotional upset or stress. -Wikipedia.

Anyone that have more information?

About two weaks ago after an emotional upset these red spots with the white halo's just appeared on my legs out of nowhere and although it fades out a bit by times it just stays there.

Will this disappear by itself?  My gut feeling is that Dr Brizman's diet will sort this out as well.

Any comments?

Hi BSA:

welcome to the forum. We have just about every weird thing here that you can think of. After being around for awhile, it starts to seem all of a piece. No one has all of the same stuff but there is a lot of overlap. Getting this diagnosis and adjusting to the lifestyle changes it occasions is stressful and taxing at first. The payoff is a return to health. I had severe food allergies and environmental allergies that Dr. B's diet cleared up. People report all kinds of rashes. It can be kind of a migratory disorder. Dr. B assures me that I will return to health and I trust her. I am having to learn a lot about patience.

best, Bonnie

Hi Bonnie
It is very good news to hear that Dr B's diet cleared up your other health issues.
My trust is also in this diet!!! I have started with List 1 on the 28th of Dec 2012 and I have already experience improvement!!!
I am not a patient due to the fact that I unfortunately can't aford to be one but I benefit from following Dr B's diet very strictly. I also eagerly read her blog posts and the posts on the forums to try to educate myself as much as possible about IC.

Hi Bosbok
Welcome to the forum. You will no doubt get other posts to encourage you to consider prioritizing coming out here for one visit so that you can be in treatment with Dr. B. The initial costs aside, it is not a very expensive treatment over time.
The diet alone is designed to control for inflammation, but you want to be guided back to a whole-foods, complete diet again over time so that you are not developing deficiencies, etc... And the herbs and probiotics are such a critical part of this process. I hope the diet helps and I hope you consider coming out to CA. I have read about people trying to self-treat and it can be very challenging. As if this is not already such a challenging thing!!

If we don't excel at health, the only other option is disease.

Thanks Mimi
I hear what you are saying and thanks for your time to explain to me. Yes as you say, this is very challenging.
I am not trying to self-treat. I do not have the knowledge, don't know anything about chinese meds. I am just following the diet and trying to stay positive.
