Terrible circulation: Really scared...anyone else have this problem?

So I have pretty poor circulation. I wake up sometimes and my arms and legs are totally asleep... my hands have been getting worse and worse.

Today the scariest thing happened. All of a sudden I lost feeling in my pinky finger. Not only that, but there was a line right above the knuckle where the skin was just pale as a corpse and there was obviously no blood circulating. My finger wasn't asleep, it was totally numb. There was no circulation in the top half of the finger whatsoever. I was horrified. This lasted for about ten minutes. I may have Lyme Disease, and maybe this a symptom of that? I am going to see a specialist...

Has anyone else experienced this? It just seems like a whole nother ballgame... Ugh.

Tell Dr. B about it. It is in her dissertation. She has heard it all so I would let her know. By the time you get to your appointment it probably will have passed. I have read of countless "neurologic" symptoms that came and went in treatment for many.

If we don't excel at health, the only other option is disease.

ADding that I have had cold hands and feet for 25 years. Now she has me on Siberian Ginseng and it is not an issue at all for me anymore. Eventually my own body will bring this circulation without the help of herbs. Circulation to hands and feet is a classic deficiency symptom in Chinese Medicine. People with and without IC have these symptoms.

Thanks Mimi! You are always so supportive. I'm going to take notes of weird symptoms to mention during my next appointment.

Hi Hannahew, i must have bad circulation issues as well since i am always cold in the hands and feet no matter what. i sleep with socks on. My husband always makes fun of me. In a funny note, i remember staying at my mom's house one night while my husband was on a business trip. I slept on my arm and my hand totally fell asleep. I mean totally that when i woke up i screamed so hard cause i thought it was someone else's hand there. :) I woke all my family and then we ended up laughing about it. But seriously it was so scary not feeling my hand at all and it was this foreign object under my pillow. Hope you improve with circulation issues soon. Are you able to walk or exercise? I don't as often as i should but i think as we are getting better, it's important we start introducing some movement. I feel older than my age and more injury prone to slightest things. Happy healing!

Hi Hannah!
I too have had these scary symptoms often waking in terror at times because I couldn't feel my arms and legs and would take way longer than usual for the circulation to return and when your anxiety is already off the charts everything scars the hell out of you! I also get the pallor white skin, a condition called Raynaud's brought on by stressful situations and/or cold temperatures! I started getting this at the age of 11-12! I was so scared and had no idea what was going on allI could think was I was never going to feel my toes or fingers again! I haven't had a really bad episode in a while, so I think it is improving for me, but also in a different climate than I am used to, so I can't truly attest that this symptom resolving yet! I still have strong sensitivity to cold, but Matia will be able to help you! Hang in there, you are on your way!

Ok so not to scare anyone cause I have MS but I too have a lot of numbness, tingling & weakness... I have always blamed it in my condition but since treatment with Dr B all of this is nearly non- existent. Who knows how it will help my other problems but that would be pretty awesome:)))
