No carbs?

Hello!

So on list 1 and I can't do potatoes or the gluten elements because of the reactions I have with them. So I've been doing wild and brown rice for the past few weeks, but every now and then even that gives me a bad reaction.

Has anyone gone without carbs? Another part of the problem is just if I eat just a bit more than I should portion wise with the carbs I get terrible symptoms. I wonder if I should try to eliminate them and see if I feel better in general... but this also seems a little questionable because I am still underweight by a good ten pounds.

Has anyone done this or spoken to Dr. B about it? Your thoughts?

Lots of love :)

I just wanted to let you know that Dr B considers wild rice and brown rice very different. Brown rice is ok on list 1 but wild rice is def not! I made that mistake early on and she was like - "oh no, don't eat wild rice, that's way down the line" - hope that helps!!

Oh wow, good to know. I thought I saw wild rice on list 1 oops! Thanks. Yeah, I guess I'll just have to listen to my body knowing all of the symptoms of taking anything out or putting anything in my diet are temporary.

Yes, I have gone carb free! Dr. B never seemed to be too keen on it, from what it seems, but she let me try to see how I felt. With my possible fructose malabsorption I found that brown rice is on the list to avoid, causes more GERD and muscle aches, so still avoid most grains, haven't been brave enough to try white rice, because would rather not at this point! I generally feel better off carbs!
