This is an excerpt from one of my AL Anon books

"In the past, many of us tried to anticipate all possible disastrous outcomes so that we would be prepared to protect ourselves.....When we anticipate doom, we lose touch with what is happening now and see the world as a threatening place against which we must be on constant alert.

"Most of our fears will never come to pass, and if they do, foreknowledge won't make us any better prepared. But as we grow in faith, self-esteem, and trust inour Higher Power, we become capable of doing for ourselves whatour anticiaption could never achieve: taking appropriate action in any situation.

"todays reminder: Today I will recognize that worries can be potent and mind- altering. I choose not to indulge in them at all."

Thanks Deir!

If we don't excel at health, the only other option is disease.

Deir,
I think that this is something that our grounded Self has always known...  However, it gets so lost in all the noise that goes on within us. I am not saying that I've come anywhere near the point of being Ghandi.  However, knock on wood, throw salt over my shoulder, hold my breath, jump up and down on one foot and clap with one hand : ) -  At the moment, I am feeling so much more centered....oh, and I also spit out a mouth full of goopy cottage cheese looking stuff this morning - my tongue was actually pink for about five minutes! Now, how spritual is that!
Oh, back to my original thought - thank you so much for sharing this today.  I'm working so hard to get to that point.
Take Care,
