On the topic of plastic.
I haven't read the article but I recently bought a plastic kettle. I boiled water in it several times and could not get rid of the discusting plastic taste. Upon further investigation I read some frightening articles about the leakage of plastic toxins from plastic kettles and so I returned it.
I have now bought a glass kettle which seems to me to be the safer option.
