Blood tests

Hi all- I recently went to the regular MD for a physical and I got some routine bloodwork- maybe one of the first times in my life. Anyway- i obviously don't care that much about it because I recognize its limitations but I just wanted to say that my cholesterol despite eating HUGE amounts of butter, fat, meat etc is really in the "healthy" range. This doesn't surprise me at all because I have long discounted the mainstream diet advice but it was nice to see it vindicated on paper!!!

Yay Deir!!!! I must go do this too. Did you get D levels checked? I am also zinc defficient and we are trying zinc which I really need but not sure my bladder likes it :(

If we don't excel at health, the only other option is disease.

Yes and I think it was a little on the low side. Still within a "normal" range as far as mainstream medicine is considered. Will talk to Dr B about it.

My total cholesterol is borderline high! The LDL and HDL levels are in good range. Don't quite understand it all. But, I imagine mine is just a part of being so out of balance with the total cholesterol levels being high, which from my understanding is really the major one to be concerned with when it comes to cholesterol levels.

Hi- I am pretty sure there are some alternative docs who don't think we should be aiming for low cholesterol at all so you might be totally fine inthat area, Christina. I htink Dr mercola says it should be at least 200. So mine would be low in that case!! Agh! So confusing. Basically- I don't care! LOL

I wouldn't have a clue if my cholesterol is good or bad.
