Underwire bras

Lately I have been exposed to a lot of theories about underwire bras being really bad for the female breast tissues. Some of the literature on this topic suggests removing the wire and replacing with plastic -- like a knitting needle bent in the same shape as the wire (cresant shape). But I have also read that even the plastic in the bra causes energy blockage in breast tissue -- so its best then to wear bras without underwire and underplastic.
Has anyone else read/heard about this? What are we to do -- Matia, have you any suggestions? Underwire or not??
Thanks. Edwena

Yes, I have read something similar to this in a book by Jordan Rubin called The Makers Diet.  He has a chapter called How To Get Sick:  A Modern Prescripton for Illness.  Here is what he says about underclothing:"The body's lymph system is absolutely crucial to the immune system.  It is the first line of defense against cancer cells, toxins, and viral and bacterial attacks.  Lymph nodes that are compressed or blocked by tight underclothing such as bras or other tight clothing may not allow the lymph system to be properly cleansed.  It is conceivable that this may help contribute to the development or proliferation of cancer in the body.  Women should not wear bras to bed."
So I guess it could be a bad thing

I only wear a bra if I am out or there is a man in my house other then my partner. Sometimes i opt for those built in tanks with the bras in side I still find them uncomfortable and take them off as soon as I come home. I wish I could get away with not wearing one at all but I am a C cup so I really rather not look like a hippy I don't feel attractive with my girls hanging down. I do often just double up on a tank top for most of the yr. Gaiam has some very nice ones that are suposed to help with the lymph flow. I haven't bought any of them myself but I mean to. Your bra acutally expires every 3 months and should be ajusted everytime you wash it just as an fyi if it is fiting it is not going to cut off flow as much. Most people are wearing the wrong size as well a propper fitting is great I have always wanted a coustom bra but not if i am going to throw them away every 3 months hehe. Ever since I have applied the rule of getting 7 new bras every 3 months I am a lot more comfortable with them and I get the seemless ones.
Its always important to wear loose fitting clothes to bed so your body can breathe . I wear drawstring pj's and a teashirt to bed sometimes a tank top but a loose one. There are a lot of pretty loose fitting pj's out there too.
