Hello to all patients, hello to Dr. Brizman,
I am seriously thinking about visiting Dr. Brizman and about the treating my bladder according to her treatment protocol. I suffer with IC about 1,5 yr and I am convinced it was caused mainly as a result of massive antibiotic treatment and following candidiasis development. But my problem is Chlamydia trachomatis too, which was the indication for repeated antibiotic treatment in the past, but that treatment was not successful. Now I am standing on the crossroad. I am positive for Chlamydia (needs to be treated with antibiotics), but also I have a big problem with yeast. What to treat first? Chlamydia, or yeast with supporting immune system? I really don´t know. Both the ways are in the oposition. What to do? Do you think Chinese medicine can carry a benefit for me? Several Chinese medicine terapeuts told me the Chinese medicine can help with immune system, but intracellular bacteria such as Chlamydia and also Borrelia and Mycoplasma (I am positive too) have to be treated only with antibiotics. I am really scared what can long-lasting antibiotic treatment do with my bladder. If Chinese medicine could help me to get my body to the point I will be able to abslove the treatment, I will be happy of it...
I will appreciate if there si somebody who has/or had the similar problem, Chlamydia in her/his medical history. I will be happy of sharing experinece with treatment. Thank you so much,
Michaela
Michaela, I don't personally
Michaela,
I don't personally have Chlamydia but I still do feel that Dr.B can help you with the herbs. Chinese medicine is much stonger then people give it credit for. There are natural antibotics that will not kill your immune system in the same way also they will be balance with other herbs or probiotics mostlily so that you build up your immune system. One of the things I learned here that I found amazing is that something like 70% of your immune system is housed in your intestines! I think that is amazing. I would not get cought up on needing the antibotics for your Chlamydia the herbs will do there job and just trust that if Matia tells you that she can do it then she can. I know she is faced with a world of diseases and I am positive that you will be relived you are making the right choice to come here. I would talk to her personally and email her on Tuesday when she is in the office to answer your questions of concerns.
Welcome to the group and I do hope you choose to beging the treament.
Talk to Matia!
I don't know specifically about chlamydia either, but I agree with your fears of how the antibiotics will affect your bladder. I had very mild bladder issues for years and I didn't think much of them, but I suspect I got pushed into full blown IC by taking a few doses of antibiotics for various infections in a short period of time. It has taken me a long time to get my body back in balance, but it has been very worth the effort. I would definitely consult with Matia before deciding what to do. She will be able to tell you the best way to treat both your bacterial infections and your IC.
Carol
Dear Carol and Nicole,
many thanks for jour answer and your willingness! I know about Dr. Brizman about one year and I was in connection with Jane Peters, who recommended Dr. Brizman so much. I tried to found if Dr. Brizman is able to help me with chronic Chlamydia infection, but no response from her office. I am afraid antibiotics will be necessary as in the cases of Ureaplasma or Mycoplasma infection (see the success story of Audrey, L.A. who was cured of Ureaplasma). I think my IC is a combination of Chlamydia and candidiasis and this makes the situation more difficult... My immunologist designed long lasted antibiotic treatment against my Chlamydia, Lyme and Mycoplasma, but I am sure my bladder will not be able to tollerate this massive attack, or not without adequate support. What to do? Bladder symptoms, joint pain and other problems are so terrible and bacterias damage my body more and more...
If anybody of you can ask Dr. Brizman, what to do, I will be happy of it. It is important for me to know that it is worth to travel to L.A., because I live in Europe and the first appointment with Dr. Brizman means to make difficult and expensive journey literally round the world. I will never regret money and effort, if there is a possibility how to help with my terrible infections and painful bladder.
Thank you so much, Michaela
You really need to hear from Matia.
I'm not sure how that works if you're not a patient. Raquel should be able to help you with that. I recently had a urinary tract infection which I have always had to take antibiotics for before but Matia prescribed two chinese herbs and they worked great. I felt better faster than when I've taken the antibiotics and my bladder didn't suffer any either. Matia will know if she can help you. Good luck!
