I would like to switch to make-up that is IC friendly. Ideally, I would like to find products that are affordable and will not exaserbate my blemish prone skin. This site has great tips on make-up to avoid. I was hoping that you could list your favorite foundations, concealers, blushes, lipsticks, eye make-up... The beautiful hair posts have been so fascinating that I couldn't resist starting a make-up post LOL.

Hi Sharon, Here is what I use;I use for eye make up the mascara from Gabriel color. The eyeliner and lipliner I use is from Dr Hauschka. I use lipbalm from Bomasense. That's it. I do not use anything on my face. Lotion I also use from Bomasense. :) :) Angela

Angela, Your skin looks great in the picture! I am impressed that you don't need to wear make-up on your skin. I looked up the eye and lip products on-line, and they looked great. Now I just need to find products to cover my acne LOL.

Please do NOT cover your acne.When I first started the treament I had such bad acne all over my face and my neck, in my neck the acne was not just pimples, it was these big acne infections. It was so bad. I had it for more than one year. I never put anything on it. Your skin is the largest organ and it is one of your 4 elimination channels. I can not say it enough but please do not cover it, let it breathe. It is so very important. The acne will go away too. I have good skin thank goodness but it is pale and I have dark circles so I feel that I need to even the color out that is why I use foundation (minerals). I live up in Canada so do not get much color on the face from sun. Maybe in the summer after a little sunshine I will try no foundation. Somebody on here mentioned everyday minerals as a safer option. I have not yet tried. It is so confusing to try and find something safe for IC and safe overall. I have been spending lots of time researching because I do love makeup.
Acne
Angela, I am so happy to here that your skin also cleared up as your health improved. My acne seems to be related to a hormonal imbalance (I have low estrogen and am 34). Dr. Brizman has a wealth of experience so will be in good hands :-)

SO I have to pop in here because this is my filed. You must protect yourself from the sun that is the one time you do what to wear protection. Your skin is breathing and you must alow it to heal it is the largest organ in your body. Acne is a larger problem it is not an external thing it is internal. Even when you break out different places on your face will coralate to different parts of your body. I give my clients internal skin care when they have acne and it's not even somthing i get to do myself but I know I am sick and I will get that perfect skin with treatment.
The makeup I use is not something I use to cover up acne but here is the line
mascara Natural Mascara by Earths Beauty ( I only use this for rare acassions)

All the pencil formulas seem to have vit e in them so I would learn to apply your eyeliner with a brush. Most these days do no use a pencil anymore it is hard line and bad on the eyes anyway.
