I feel you
If you read my other posts you will see I am having a VERY hard time with the diet. I also have a binge eating problem with sugar. I can go with out it for 25 days max and then for a week or two I go insane and eat a ton of it..this has been going on for a year now with me, trying to work up the courage to see Matia because I knew the diet is a must, or its a waste of money. I am again on day one today. I am ready to battle and I know the cravings will come and I am going to have to pray myself through them..another girl on here said she thinks of eating a radish when she has a craving, and it worked for me today. I thought about the taste and I did not want sugar anymore. Someone else told me after 3-6 months you loose the cravings..this seems like a LONG time to me, but worth it yes..I so do not want to live in pain anymore. My life is passing me by while I am in the bathroom with a reeses penut butter cup...SO NOT RIGHT. My kids are so confused, I am constantly taking sugar out of the house and then bringing it back..my two year old does not know what to think..Is sugar bad or good, Mom?? I am seeing Matia in 2 weeks and I am scared to death of the cost all the probiotics and herbs and appointments will be. I posted something about I herb, they sell them too..but I hear they do not have the digestlac.
I herb
I find they are the best price though for most supplements and low shipping costs, and I wanted to tell you I post a 5.00 off coupon a few days ago. Just look at the Iberb post.
Starting Treatment
Hi, I use Bomasense products, which last a long time and are priced reasonably for the quaility. I use oilive oil for shaving my legs like they do in India LOL. It can also be used as a personal lubricant (or jojoba oil). The soap lasts for months and has really helped clear up my skin. Finding the right foods is tricky at first. I started on the diet two months before seeing Matia. The first month I slowly eased into it. I phased out sugar and ate blueberries. Then I gradually phased out the berries. Whole foods has affordable bread. I have eaten French Meadow Bakery Spelt and Kamut Bread. I buy my grains and water from a mom and pop store. Sprouts is opening near my home next month :-) I used to shop at Walmart and switched to HEB, which is an affordable large grocery chain. HEB has a great natural meat section. I was slowly able to switch my love of sugar to a love of grains. It took a while to get used to eating them in moderation. Ask Matia about your particular situation with binge eating. She may advise rewarding yourself once a month with an agave sweetened treat. Glad you are on the road to healing.
