getting through the hollidays on list one 2?

I think we should all start brainstorming how to not cheet some special things to get through the holliday. I am deturnined to come up with some kind of potato bread I would love to have some garlic bread with basil. the baccon got me thinking what kind of special meals could we make?

Nicole.. does your post say bacon?  If so, I found something to replace it :)   You have to find certain brands though..   It is Priscuitto.   I buy either Kroger's Private Selection or Fiorutti brand (which is hard to find).  It is pork, cured in salt, not sugar (do not buy deli brands such as boars head! it has sugar in it)   Then I pan fry it and viola..   you can have a PLT!!! (if you can eat tomatoes).It was SO good..didn't even need mayonaise..I just used butter on my toast.As far as not cheating..   how long does that forbidden bite of food stay in your mouth??  seconds???   is it WORTH it??   days of pain vs seconds in your mouth??   nope, just imagine it, imagine tasting it and swallowing it..  that is how long it lasts.Happy Thanksgiving

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and I will be happy just to be with some family and laugh and talk.  I plan to bring my tub of soup- chicken, broth, salt, brown and white rice, zuchinni, green cabbage, purple cabbage, and cauliflower.  It is really good.  I also made some flat bread with rice flour and basil and dill that I can toast with butter or dip in olive oil with spices so it looks really fancy like an itialian restaraunt (sp?).  I have no idea how to spell that word. lol.  Please correct me if wrong.

oh i have never cheeted an i don't plan on starting now i was more speaking for all of us so we don't have all that crap staring us in the face. Thanks for the tip i have the uncured organic baccon with out sugar so i am golden. I can't do the tomatoes I am thinking of trying bell pepper again though.  I am going to make  potato pancakes with some sheeps cheese and dill and cucumber for aps. a spinage salad and planville turkey from whole foods. I haven't tried turkey in ages again bc i don't seem to be doing well with fowl in general but I am going to give it a go. I need some change. Going to bake an agave apple pie for my boyfriend and my friend comming over. Thanksgiving isn't really the big deal for me it's more like christmas i care about and my birthday that follows 4 days later i sit and wonder how long i have to put up with this pain and get myself depressed so i am trying to set up something nice so i don't feel so sad about how lame my life is.

Chex mix for me:
after making it for the family, I wanted some of my own.  Took a pan and melted butter and added salt, garlic and a little basil and dill.  Added 1/2 bag of pufed rice and stir.  Bake in oven 250 degrees 15 min stir and bake again until done to your liking.  Pretty good!.  A good crunchy snack like popcorn or chips.  I already ate the whole thing!!! With celery of course.
