Questions for the next phone conference

Forums:

So I was thinking how it might be good to collect some topics of discussion for our next conference call. Lately I  have had a hell of time keeping my immune system in check- it seems like I'm constantly on the verge of getting sick but it always sooo difficult to tell whether or not its the flu and if its die off. I think I can tell the difference but then I have days where I am just not sure!
so one of my questions for sure is going to be:

How can you tell when you are sick with a virus/bacterial infection and when its die off related and will pass quickly? i know this will sometimes be a case by case basis but I'd like to get better at deciphering body signs and patterns.

Perhaps these can be faxed over to Matia on Friday for answering on saturday  since she doesn't read this site? what do yall think- is this a good idea?

Yes, Mary, that sounds a good idea. I have never been able to join in on the call and hope to do so this Sat. I would like the answer to that question and add:1....How do we know when the dental problems are truly dental or die-off , without having to go through anguish of appointments and experimenting with dentist?2....Why can I eat some things w/o probs one time and then next time flare? How much does stress  affect this?3...What causes the increasing constipation several of us experience?4..Are there lesions left on the bladder wall from IC flares?I have forgotten how to hook up to the call. Do you put it on Speaker phone?  I'll call Lynn, but would help to have some idea before....We survived the holidays...I'm thinking we all and each deserve major pat on back....Lois

I am not sure I understand your question on the dentist.

Hi Nicole:I meant the dental question to expand on Lisa's die-off question.I have had symptoms, like sore gums, aching teeth, and facial pain that caused me to think I should check with the dentist ( I have a history of terrible dental probs and am paranoid about my teeth etc). Then i've been relieved when symptoms left and were obviously die-off.  So, I wondered if there is a way to tell the difference.  ( had a root canal in Sept) I have symptoms right now that point to a dying tooth. This time, I emailed Matia and began herbs for it yesterday. It's making a difference, but too soon to tell. I know you've had big challenges lately with dental work. I hope all is back to normal.

Got it that is more clear. I wanted to understand your question because it looks like you can't attend. I have a feeling she is going to have a hard time answering that question but I will certainly make sure it is asked and write it down. I am not having issues anymore with tooth pain. However the hole left from where they extracted the tooth still is not closed in and it has been 3 months I still have that metal taste in my mouth. I suspect it will be another 2-3 months before it is compleetly healed. My gums are still inflamed a little on the bottom where they did most of the work and I need to go back in B/C they didn't leave enough space for me to floss. I just do not feel like going right now so I use my water pick. I don't know that it is enough. Now I am drinking raw milk very good for cavitie prevention. If you read Weston price they talk about how some counties do not have tooth brushes or floss yet the herbs and the diet they are on they have perfect teeth. Tooth decay seems to be comon amoungst ICers and I think that has a lot to do with absorbtion of our foods. I was reading not just in Chinese medicine but holistic health in general connects the small intestine to tooth decay and I thought wow well this disease is an imbalance of the small intestine. Now when i looked in to chinese medicine the tooth efected was the bladder maridian so to do a root canal on that tooth and deaden that blood flow didn't seem right to me, that is why I decided to pull it and leave it empty. Lucky for me it was my back tooth.
If your having tooth issues I think the best thing to do is use goldenseal on your gums. Put a little on your toothpaste ( nasty taste) this is very effective. You might ask Matia first but this is what she always tells me when I have a problem with my teeth, gums or anything like a canker sore or cold soar. The dentist office told me to push my gums up with a qtip so you could do this with the gold , gums need to be massaged brought he blood in if they are red that helps them. THey usually sugest tea tree oil but since we can not use this I would do the goldenseal in place. Now if it is just die off that would mean things are going to unravel into balance and keeping in check with Matia closly would be very important. I think this is an individual thing and that she is not going to be able to give a blanket answer but I will still ask her.

wow Nicole...that is such welcome info..teeth are my major weakness...emotionally..I have had such bad experiences over a lifetime of dental visits and some complicated root canals and dental mistakes, I go into a zone that is scary. SO.....goldenseal for me..right now...and the connection to IC, lader meridian and small intestine is intriguing....big thanks. I am ready now to learn more about Chineses medicine and the connections within our bodies..I have ordered "Between Heaven and Earth" for a start... The Gan ma Ling and Ear Formula have relieved my pain and part of infection so am encouraged. Normally I would be havng a root canal, but am rethinking also hoping this isn't a dying tooth. If so, I will explore other answers. I remebre thinking you were so brave during your dental work...gave me courage.  I hope to take part on Saturday...have the info on how to do it. Matia said it will be earier than usual so am watching for the time.

tooth decay is common among people with immune disorders. We are not absorbing our nutrients well right now. Our PH is not being regulated properly by our bodies. This will all come in balance but it's such a grooling process. When I was going through the root infection reversal process with my teeth we were not able to do what we really needed for the sake of my bladder. I think to reverse needing a root canal with out IC can be done bu I am not sure someone on list one or two can do it. I think 3and up could handle the food and supplements needed to do it. If you are intersted in the matter check out weston price and there is a book http://www.curetoothdecay.com/Tooth_Decay/heal_prevent_cavities.htm
I do recomend it. I sugest looking for a holistic dentist.
this site is awsome too

after your message, I did some web searching and found Weston Price and more and am floored by this info. I am still researching it all...makes perfect sense. I am looking for a holistic dentist but no luck so far here on an island off the coast of BC Canada. Thanks for more sites ....I've already decided no more root canals! I can't believe I've accepted the ones I have witout even questioning....blinders of fear, I think....
