Kristen, Nicole:I just read
Kristen, Nicole:I just read this, I had a BAD flare when I tried pure shea butter cream in the beginning of treatment. Also, if you serch "shea butter" on this site, you'll find Matia's old post warning against it!
huum the reuson I thought of
huum the reuson I thought of it is because it is in her lotion thanks for the heads up. I don't personally use anything my hands arn't dry enough to bother. I wish her shipping was cheaper I would order some of those products she has. Does anyone know if they can be combined with herb orderes?
great lotion
Kristin,The best lotion I've tried (and still using) is from www.healmysole.com they are made with all natural ingredients - you can even scent your own lotion or buy unscented. I also use their bath oil to soften my skin just before getting out of the shower. My hubby uses the oil too - it stops his endless winter itching! It's a small company that is really making a difference in my family. I love buying fromthe smaller companies - they seem to care more about their products. I hope this helps you!
Nicole,You cannot combine
Nicole,You cannot combine herb and bomasense orders I was told because they come from 2 different warehouses, therefore are shipped separately. I agree with you!! This should really be cheaper and able to be combined. I haven't ordered any bomasense stuff at all just to save money on shipping! All the best!
Jen
Hey Jen! I just checked out their site- healmysole.com- thanks for the suggestion- it looks like it could be really good. My husband is suffering from cracking and dry hands from all this winter weather and needs something like this. I like supporting little handmade companies too! I use the jojoba oil for lotion but sometimes need something a little more emolliant. Are you a patient of Matia's and if so did she approve this particular brand of lotion? I am still pretty sensitive to things I put on my body. I know the Bomasense lotion shares a few ingredients but I think the formula for that lotion is pretty specific to be IC safe. Like it has shea butter but its combined with other things that maybe make it less intense than it would be on its own... anyway just wondering as I would like to expand my product repetoire to something a little more moisturizing. Thank you! Mary
did matia approve the heal my
did matia approve the heal my soul products??
Not to my knowledge. - I
Not to my knowledge. - I didn't realize it was needed. I just wanted to offer a suggestion. It's made with sweet almond oil and grapeseed oil - all the ingredientss are listed on the label if that helps.
Jen
Thanks for the heads up- I'll ask her about it - she is always looking for good IC safe products to add to the list. I can't beleive we are so sensitive to things that we literally have to read every label if it comes in contract with our bodies externally or internally but that's just the way it goes in early - mid treatment. Lots of folks could be putting something as simple as a nut oil and putting it on their skin and it could be flaring them really badly- yet if they used an IC safe product they'd be fine. It won't matter as much later when out of treatment- although its good to follow the concept of - if you cna't eat it don't put it on your body... but inflammation is super easy to incite at the stage I'm at in healing. in the beginning I didn't check lables or follow the guides to the letter and I learned the hard way how painful it can be! Anyway thanks again for checkin in! Mary
