Matia doesn't believe the oxilate theory just fyi and  just for a case in point they will tell you that too many oxlates cause pain well spinage is very high and I will eat spinage to actually lower my pain.
Now another note some veggies are diaretics such as parsley, celery you may pay more attention to what foods are dieretics more so then the oxilates. Veggies are an important part of healing and cutting them out is not going to solve your problem. If your not loosing sleep over it really I wouln't fret too much. You are very early in treatment and have a lot of candida issues to cleanse so all that is going to stir a lot of crap up. The frequency gets better. I used to pee every 15 min when i first started treatment now I pee about every 3 hrs and i drink a gallon of water a day so take a look at the whole picture and remember we are healing with foods and repairing the intestins that effect the bladder the inflamation from the imbalance of the intestines is causing the discomfort in the bladder from my undertanding.

Good to know Matia's view.  I do know someone who's son had Autism and another woman with vulvodynia  that was greatly helped by the low oxalate diet. She actually gave me all her info 2 years ago because she had healed herself through the diet and detox (supplements).  BUT, she did not have IC, only Vulvodynia.  I just looked it over and threw it in my drawer because the diet looked to hard to follow...Which is funny because now I am on an even stricter diet with Matia!

That was a very interesting article on oxalates.  I am not aware of Matia's view on oxalates, but I do know that any veggie high in them give my bladder all sorts of grief.  If I accidently get into some romaine lettuce at a salad bar, my bladder flares for hours.  I can't touch spinach either without getting serious pain.  Eating these veggies and flaring the condition doesn't seem like the thing to do either.

There was a time when I thought about this too but now I think possibly there are other factors going on that leads me to belive we just aren't strong enough to handle the vitamin content of certain foods yet. Now I eat a lb of spinage every 2 days and i would be peing stones if this were true. I am not saying it doesn't effect some people but over all I don't think we should just through out all these really healthy veggies. In the earlier stages when i was on list one I ate boston and bib lettuce it is greener then iceburg and has a nice light sweet taste. I still ate all the other veggies and then I think I added the spinage in about 6 months down the line. It was only because I too was curious about the same thing. Matia told me not to worrie about it. When I added it in and it actually helped my pain I kind of kicked myself for not trying it sooner. Who knows if I was ready or not though. I think you just have to try everything one by one and see. Also when your in the begining so much is going on. changing with the herbs hard detox . I feel your body is adjusting a lot at first so it can take a while to figure out what is really bothering you. It feels like everything is a bother you go back and forth a lot. This hopefully will pass in time for you. I still have trouble myself and it takes me a while to see if I tolerate something . I have to try it several times before I know and weigh in all the factors going on. Some things are obvious and some things are not. It will get easier to tell in time.
