Hi Everyone,
I have read some posts lately about weight gain. I have been in treatment for two years and my bladder has improved a lot, but lately I have started to gain a lot of weight....about 5 lbs. in less than two weeks. I have read that others are experiencing this as well. Does anyone have any idea why? I am eating about the same as I have been for the last 4 months, but suddenly, my clothes are feeling tighter. I am not a vain person, but I feel that something must not be right. I am waiting to hear from Matia about this, but I thought I would ask all of you. All I am taking is rehmannia peonnaeia and probiotics. Thanks for listening. esalinas
Matia told me this happens
Matia told me this happens sometimes with people when they are having a lot of yeast and the intestines are having a hard time balancing. i am having this issue for the first time in a long time i have had a bm every day so far this month and i hope this can continue it seems like a full time job for me. i don't know how well your bowls are doing? i know my yeast levels are still really bad and i have a lot of stagnation lack of circulation so to speak.
Thanks Nicole,You are right!
Thanks Nicole,You are right! I am having problems with constipation and I bet my yeast levels are high. I wonder why it is so hard to regulate our guts! Thanks for your quick response. esalinas

What do you mean by having a lot of yeast?Arn't our yeast levels supposed to fall during treatment? I assumed that following a sugar free/yeast free diet would eventually kill off the yeast.Sorry if this sounds ignorant to you but i'm quite new to this.
Yeast and micro-organisms
Hi,
I used to think the same thing: shouldn't the yeast already be out of my system? I haven't eaten anything to feed it for months!!
But Matia has said it can take years (not to panic you, that of course doesn't mean it will take you that long) to clear systemic candida issues. Our bodies will always have yeast, but getting a yeast problem under control doesn't happen very quickly.
When a person is cleansing yeast from their system the yeast die of will actually bring yeast ...to the surface. Meaning that some of the problems and symptoms caused by yeast (like nasty vaginal discharge and yeast infections for example) will be very noticeable.
In this case, if the yeast is heavy in the digestive system and preventing proper digestion it can also cause weight gain.
I have been gaining weight recently, and when I brought it up on the support call on Friday Matia said that it was a sign of an overgrowth of yeast and "other microorganisms" So, it could be an issue with something other than yeast too. Or, it could be yeast AND some other microorganism.
Definitely constipation doesn't help the issue!
Hope this helps =) I think the main thing is just to let Matia know that it's happening -- it informs how she treats you for sure.
Thank you for explaining
Thank you for explaining Erin. There is so much to learn!
weight gain?
I cant wait to gain some weight! lol I lost 17 pounds since the symptoms started a year ago and I was already 15 pounds underweight for my height. Of course, I dont want to gain weight because of a yeast overgrowth....sigh

yeah at the beginning, I had lost lots of weight but now I have gained lots...That probably has something to do with the fact that I ate 2 avocados or more all winter. It's hard to stop eating something so good when you are allowed to eat it...On the up side, I didn't get a single cold in at least half a year. Long live the avocado!
To lose some weight, someone
To lose some weight, someone here suggested to cut out or really reduce nuts which are super fatty and even though they're healthy and good types of fat still can cause weight gain, which Matia confirmed. I also scaled down avocadoes. This along w/ cutting carb portions a bit definitely helped. (This was all under Matia's guidance for me.)
