probiotic test

Has anyone  doubted the potency of their probiotic?

I'm wondering if there's a foolproof test to see if the probiotics are still alive.

I found one online and tried it and came up with confusing results..

I put mine in freezer by mistake for 24 hours...yikes...it says do not freeze...hesitant to throw a c note down the drain...

any input very welcome

thanks Christine..that's the one I tried and if it's correct..both my frozen and "properly handled" bif and mega results all the same...???
 
Maybe it's only for acidophilus but will try again....

I've also read that if they are still white they should be ok. Tan color means they have died.
