Hello everyone,

I hope there is someone of you who can tell me something about this or has the same issue.

I'm now nearly 35 weeks pregnant and started to have pressure on the rectum, the same as a used to have on the bladder but much worse.

It started 10 weeks ago went with ups and downs, but is back now and not going away anymore, at first i didn't had hemorroids but now i do have them, don't know if this has to do  anything with it.

This is a horrible problem, and i can't function or sleep because i always have the feeling that i need to have a bowel movement, but that's just not the case.

If someone has any experience with this problem please let me know, and is there any hope that it will ever pass?

Thanks

Carola

I had rectum pressure right before baby was delivered when the baby set low and literally created pressure on rectum. Did you talk with your gyno?

Hi
No i didn't talk with the gyncologist, i will tomorrow, the midwife said it has nothing to do with the baby or the hemorroids.
She thinks it's spasms from the bowel or pelvic floor, with freeks me out because will not easily pass after birth.
I would love to have this baby out, tomorrow i will have an ultra sound to see how big this baby will be, the second baby was very big.
I hope this pressure will pass.

I would like to discourage you from delivering the baby early. I delivered at 36.5 weeks due to ruptured placenta, and we had number of issues regardless of doctor's assurances that everything would be all right. You need to understand: they are not responsible for ANYTHING once the baby is delivered. They are DONE. You will be with this baby for the rest of your life. They were going to deliver my child at 35 weeks. Ouch! I didn't understand much and I almost agreed, but after talking with a wise friend, who told me what I am telling you now, I said: no way, do whatever you need to do to stop contractions. They did.
We are still having some issues with my daughter: food allergies, speech therapy, etc. She was born only 3.5 weeks early. She had all classic preemie symptoms: breathing problems, apnea, reflux, inability to swallow. Her weight was 6.6, not exactly a small child. She spent a month in NICU. The doctors were assuring me that most likely the child would come home with me if I were to deliver at 35 weeks. Well, they don't know how much they don't know.
Most recent studies show that number of NICU patients grow exponentially. Most of them are c-serian preemies, who are not even supposed to be in NICU, i.e., they are not even supposed to be born yet.
Also, don't forget that c-section costs more.

I had horrible painful hemorroids with my last pg- I took homeopathic Virginana Haememilis. they were gone the next day. I had rectal pressure with my second baby when I was in a long pro-dromal labor.
Have you tried rocking your pelvis on hands and knees? That can be helpful to get the baby positioned.
Thinking of you and hoping it gets better- one good thing is pregnancy does come to an end.
