Juice plus experiences?

Forums:

I am reacting pretty strongly to the JP and Dr B wants me to push through which i am totally capable of doing but wondering how long? I have had a hard time adding things to my regime and I am glad she is telling me to push through but yikes- it is pretty nasty. I am wondering if anyone else had issues with JP and then were able to push through and do better with it? I guess I am looking for encouragement about it. I have a tricky situation because I know I "feel" better if I don't take any herbs/pros etc. It is hard to knowingly make yourself feel worse.

OK so I have never posted any articles because i don't want to push anything on anyone or say the wrong thing....but this article was posted by a good friend of mine from Bellingham, WA. I can say that I think it will help all of feel like what we are doing is the best thing for our bodies in the long run and to look at this disease as a blessing because just a few years of being on our awesome boring diet will reverse years of imflammation that has been building up our entire lives.

Mexico City

Forums:

I will be traveling to Mexico City in May. Has anyone here ever been there while in treatment? I am on List 5, but want to stick to the diet as closely as possible. Where are safe places (in terms of the ICAMA diet) to eat? Good brands of bottled water to buy? How about what I can actually get through customs in terms of food from home? Any suggestions welcome. Thanks!

My symptoms - again!

Forums:

Dear all,

I wonder if anyone can shed light on my current conundrum re my symptoms. I am currently wondering what the heck is going on with me! Is it IC at all? See what you think:

1) I have never had urgency or frequency, just dull bladder sensation. Indeed, when younger, EVERYONE went much more than I

2) I have a huge bladder capacity - about 1200 cc (awake). I drink lots of water (4-5 litres per day) but still only go to the loo about 3/4 times

Buffalo

Forums:

Does anyone out there eat a whole lot of buffalo. I have been eating buffalo for a while now from whole foods. The past couple weeks I have noticed it is a fattier looking color and more greese comes off of it. My bladder has been bothering me for a while now and I am starting to wonder if they swiched providers of the meat. I called and they said it was the same. I wondering if they are just feeding them more grains due to the economy or season change. Has anyone else noticed a different in the meats they eat?

Difference between remission and keeping on top of it?

Forums:

Dear all,

I have a query. When I was in remission, I ate and drank everything I wanted, used all kinds of body broducts, etc. (I did not know that I had IC). I was ok with this for years and years. When Matia gets people better, do they go into remission in this manner or is this a different process? I know that she says that to stay asymptomatic, we need to keep on top of the disease through diet, water, products, etc.. I am wondering why I was able to not even know that I had IC and no relapse throughout that time?

Bread and carbs question

Forums:

I have a couple questions for those who are more experienced in the diet. I just realized I've been doing the diet all wrong! I didn't realize it was bad to only eat carbs and nothing else with it. I've been doing that for breakfast for like 2 weeks now.. Woopsy! I see Dr B next week for the first time so I'll make sure to ask detailed questions about the diet but for now I was wondering what you all do for bread. Until I deliver my baby end of May she told Lyn to let me know I could eat up to list 3.

D vitamin

Forums:

Hi!

Is D-vitamin a part of Dr. Brizmans treatment?! Anyone taking D-vitamin?!

I just had my D-vitamin levels checked and they are at 27. (European way of measuring)

They say it should be above 75 if it should be ok. So I'm pretty stressed about this.

I have done some analyzis myself, and I know that I'm also low on ferretin (iron storage). The funny thing is that my Doctor does not do any conclutions from this, but I do. Isn't it funny that I'm low on vitamins that are stored in the liver?!
