Re: diagnosing IC and constipation issues

Forums:

I am 11 weeks out from multi prolapse surgeries and am experiencing vaginal pain and discomfort.  My surgeon thinks it is just spasms that will resolve in time and wants me to take ditroplan to relieve it for a month or more.  I'm inclined not to take it.  What symptoms should I be aware of that would disstinguish IC from bladder spasms.

Adrenergic Urticaria

Forums:

Are there anyone with IC that also happened to have Adrenergic Urticaria?

It is a skin condition characterized by small red spots with a pale/white halo around it and is caused by emotional upset or stress. -Wikipedia.

Anyone that have more information?

About two weaks ago after an emotional upset these red spots with the white halo's just appeared on my legs out of nowhere and although it fades out a bit by times it just stays there.

Will this disappear by itself?  My gut feeling is that Dr Brizman's diet will sort this out as well.

Any comments?

Toxic Thoughts

Just as chemicals, flavourants, etcetera can be toxic to our bodies, our thoughts can also be toxic to our physical and emotional health.

Dr Caroline Leaf explains this.  See You Tube:  Dr Caroline Leaf on It's Supernatural with Sid Roth - Toxic Thoughts.

Not Furious Anymore

Forums:

Hi Forum Friends and Hoping for a Healthy New Year to Each of You and Your Families

Here are my current thoughts about my nearly 4 months of knee pain.

SItting around here while the rest of the family goes hiking. Wondering when my knees are going to let me move again.

Lesson 1: Love every part of my body and honor it.  Think about what it has done for me. Apologize to it for acts of violence done over time.

Lesson 2: I am a doer and it has been a huge identity shift to not be able to run my life the way I usually do.

Good Morning!  I Hope you all had wonderful Christmases/Holidays!  I don't post a lot on the board ususally becuase it can be too emotionally draining for me so I apologize for not providing more support to all of you.  I am 5ish months into treatment and making great strides with my bladder/urethra/vagina I think!  The first 4 months were slow but I've been doing really well for most of December.

Thanks

Forums:

Just want to say thank you to all that have taken the time & effort to reply to my posts and to say I'm still here & recovering at speed!

Turns out not sleeping was hampering any improvement but now I'm sleeping better, things are really moving.  Got a way to go but seeing & feeling the changes is motivating me & keeping me positive.

Seasons Greetings & A Healthy New Year to all :)

so much pain

Forums:

p>In all the time that I've been Dr. M's patient, any flare was minimal. My major complaint was anxiety.  Now, tonight, after a week of battling either an infection or a flair, it's stopped being controllable.  I am so scared that it's not going to stop.  I have a sneaky suspicion that I did this to myself by having my eyes dilated for an ophthalmologists appt.

What do you say to someone who is only 35 y.o. who had her bladder removed because of IC? She is going on full disability loosing a lucrative career. The pain didn't go away, unlike it was expected. Just sharing a thought....

At least we have a chance.... Keep on keeping on...

black circles

Forums:

Hi, I'm more than pleased to report that I'm finally sleeping better after a lifetime of insomnia but a small gripe is that I've noticed my eyes are actually blacker in the corners, not so much a circle but  a half circle.  Anyone know what can cause this?  I've of course googled it & vitamin/diet deficiencies are mentioned a long with a lot of other things.  Anyone else had this?
