Why is it that some people can tolerate rice but not rice flour? Also, some people can tolerate potatoes but not potatoe flour? I recently added rice back into my diet but am not sure that I tolerate rice flour.
I went to Matia's Wed afternoon 11-18, and flew back to Indiana the next morning. Matia was gracious and her office setting was beautiful with the waterfalls and greenery. The Holiday Inn express was nice, the chicken salad at Ralph's was great, and saying I was disabled helped because I sat in the front of the plane by the bathroom- very comforting. I brought my own food- salmon patties, celery, hardboiled eggs, rice cakes, cucumbers, and water. Thanks for the advice on this site. I plan for a slow, easy weekend. Very low expectations of myself to get much done. I am excited to star
since lisa posted war of my life i thought i would post this song as it also describes our issues with IC...never giving up, wanting to live, and doing it OUR WAY!! no matter who tries to bring us down... and a added bonus...jon bonjovi is pretty hot...lol..
It's My Life lyrics This ain't a song for the brokenhearted No silent prayer for the faith departed And I ain't gonna be just a face in the crowd You're gonna hear my voice when I shout it out loud
I'm sure some of you already knew this book or have posted before, but I want to reiterate it for the newcomers here. I only wish someone had suggested I read this book (namely my DOCTOR! Ha!) when I first got diagnosed.
So I just excitedly got my absolute favorite musician John Mayer's new CD and one of his songs, War of My Life, could have been written as an anthem for all of us! It is incredibly beautiful and I had to share. (In my completely biased opinion, John Mayer is a true poet and musical genius.)
Here are the lyrics:
Come out Angels, Come out Ghosts, Come out Darkness, Bring everyone you know I'm not running and I'm not scared, I am waiting and well prepared

Okay, since I started all this I am sporting around a VERY bloated tummy..I look deformed. I thought I was bloated before treatment, but that was nothing compared to now. I am not going #2 much and I am on probiotics..but this is so annoying! I have gained 2 pounds and its ALL in my tummy area. Anyone look prego? I know in the light of all the other stuff we have to deal with in treatment, this should not bother me..but when I cant get any of my jeans buttoned, it makes everything feel worse.
Does anyone know if ham is allowed on list 1 or is it too processed, smoked, etc. I was thinking of making some sort of ham and brocoli quiche with Dill but I wasn't sure about the meat? Then when I get to list 2 I could even add a little cheeze.
