I just wanted to alert anyone that might be taking SF722- (a supplement that Thorne Research  makes) has changed an ingredient in their capsule- they just recently changed from a bovine gelatin form to a Tilapia based gelatin. They did not tell Matia about this change in ingredients. I imagine this is a rather innoculous change to anyone without IC but it makes a BIG difference in my life!  I noticed the bottle said- fish gelatin and I know tilapia can affect ICers so I thought I'd call Thorne and check to see if this was a new change. It was.  I don't know why they did this- cheaper?

I am praying about being able to see Matia.  I remember last year I called and started the process to fly out, but it was confusing.  The office said I needed to wait a month, and then by the time I was going to come the prices for airfare went up...and I did not come.

Anyway, I remember it being a confusing process with the office.

I have decided I want to come in February.  Then we can use our tax return on coming and then for treatment.

Can someone let me know how far in advance I need to call and what the process looks like?  

Does anyone drink the naturally decaf green teas and what brands if so? My dentist wants me to have floride and i don't want to have high amounts I know that green tea is very good for tooth decay.

I have suffered debilitating pain in my bladder and vagina for about 6 years.  These past months have been by far the worst.  I have lost my career and my marriage has been jeopardized.

Of course I have seen a dozen doctors with the most recent telling me I need some barbaric vaginal surgery that will have me recovering for two to three months.

This sent me into absolute despair, plus the doctor has no solid concept of what the origin of my pain is so the surgery could be a failure.

I am curious if anyone knows anything about drinking marshmallow root tea.  I have a abook from someone who healed her IC who claims this healed her bladder.  When I drink it though, it makes my have to go more often, I think it is a gentle detox.  I am not sure if its hurting or helping though. So if anyone has used it and has a story I would love to hear.

I'm having a hard time with my menstrual cycle, I will have my period one of these days and it still feels so horrible.
My legs hurt, my abdomen, my lower back, I'm only in treatment for 5.5 months but I always get discouraged when I'm around my period/ovulation.
Are there other people who had horrible cycle pains and needed a long time before these pains started to decrease?
It also takes away my energy, I sleep well most of the time but I still feel exhausted in the morning.

I am not seeing Matia becasue we do not have the finances for me to fly out to LA. I am hoping you can still shed some light being patients.

I know yeast is part of my problem, becuase when I EAT sugar, my bladder symtpoms actaully improve for a few hours.  I think I am feeding the yeast or bactiera and they are happy for a few hours.

Our good water is so precious to all of us with IC.  I had been leaving my plastic water bottle in my car on hot days and realized that is probably not a good idea. I understand that harmful cancer causing chemicals can leak into water when plastic is hot.  Sooo,  I got to thinking... that all of the water we use, we have to buy in plastic bottles (large or small).  And i doubt if the grocery stores are too concerned about the bottles being in hot delivery trucks for hours or days.
