Do you know if it is OK to swim in salt water pools? I know chlorinated pools are not approved? My friend invited me over to swim in her salt water pool. I was wondering if there are other chemicals in salt water pools that are not good for a person in treatment with Matia.
Just wondering if people notice that foods higher in oxalates bother them and if so how have you altered your diet? Has it helped to eat lower oxalate foods?

I have been a patient of Matia's for over four years. When I first came to her I was very sick and depressed. I was 27 years old and had a two year old son I could no longer take care of. I was lucky because I had a wonderful mother who helped out. I was in so much pain, both physical and emotional. I was lucky to find Matia. When I came to Matia, I asked if she knew someone who was on her way to getting better and was willing to talk to me. She told me that there was a women in New York who was willing and would be giving me a call.
Hi everyone, Maybe it's a weird question but I had 3 very bad dreams in one week, is this something that has also happened to other persons in treatment? This morning my boyfriend had to wake me up because I was crying and shouting... I don't think that I sleep very deep because I wake up several times at night, but it will probably be a coincidence that it happened so many times in a short period.
I am trying to improve my make-up since the Maybeline foundation and concealer is not providing enough coverage. Today, I was looking at Origins Stay Tuned Balancing Face Makeup and saw that it contains Vitamin E. Origins is listed on the gentle product guide although I am suspicious of Vitamin E in products. Have any of you used Origins foundation?
Since my early twenties I always had a bit of a problem with UTI's (urinary tract infections). I had been on the pill since I was sixteen. I would get 1-2 UTI's a year fairly consistently. Then, when I was about thirty-seven, and going through a stressful divorce, the UTI's became more and more frequent. I was on antiobiotics every six weeks or so, until many stopped working. I began a new relationship, and sex just made the infections worse. I had a cystoscopy and was told my bladder was normal and healthy and they didn't know why I kept getting infections. I was put on a daily low-
My husband is trying to get over his addiction to drinking Coke. He LOVES flavored drinks and has a chronic cough. Boaz thinks his cough is related to his diet (dairy and sugar). Chris would love to find a good alternative to Coke and asked me to write a post. He is looking for a naturally flavored tea that tastes delicious. I think a fruit sweetented tea would be very appealing although he is open to trying almost anything.
okay, never had this happen before, but was out to lunch and when i stood up my right quad literally locked. it was like a huge muscle spasm or something that made my leg completely stiff - like it felt like i couldn't bend it. totally weird. had muscle spasms before, but not like this. only lasted about 30 seconds, but was really freaky. anyone ever experienced this?
Do you know if it is OK to highlight my hair? In the past, I would have my hair highlighted at a salon and my hairdresser would use foil. None of the chemicals would touch my scalp. I looked into using Naturtint Hair Color. Although it has no ammonia, it still has hydrogen peroxide. As a result, I was wondering if professional colors almost as bad as Naturtint since they won't touch my scalp. What is your opinion?
