A thought

They say the gut lining replenishes itself in 24 hours. I read a book about leaky gut, and it said that the the gut lining is replenished in, I think, 4-6 days. If this is all gut related, and possibly leaky gut syndrome, I wonder if a person could just be fed intravaneously for a few days until their gut healed. Just wondered if any experimentation along these lines has ever been done with IC patients.

Epstein Barr?

This is sometihing I have wondered about. If you think it's a possibility, let me know. I had mono for the first time a few years ago. As an adult, I couldn't really take off work and rest for months like some kids do when they get it at a young age. months later, I had some tests run and my spleen was enlarged, so the doctors suspected it was still the mono causing it. For a while, before IC, I have felt chronic fatigue and wondered if mono had anything to do with it.

have booked my appt. - but am now anxious

Forums:

Dear all,

I have booked my appt. Will be flying in from the UK. However, I am now anxious that I'll be the one that she can't help. How did you all deal with these anxieties? Also, I can't get my head around te idea of how ther bladder lining can heal itself. can it do that? It's chronically damaged so how can this process be reversed? Is this what the tretament protocol is all about? I would be grateful for any insights.

Thank you all so much.
