Swollen lips

Forums:

ANyone had swollen lips that looks twicw the size as they should be, also itchy rash around lips and chin as well as neck and chest, also itchy anal and vaginal areas. She stopped my OIl of Oregano yesterday and starting me on SF722. Cant start it until Monday though as that is the fastest I can get it here. My lips are even more swollen today than yesterday. Any suggestions to help this. I am guessing it is die off.

Headache loveliness...

Forums:

I can cope with most of the other unpleasant side effects of treatment/die-off, but this one is the hardest for me, especially since we're not able to take anything to treat it. How do you guys deal with headaches? They totally zap my energy, making it difficult for me to be productive and go about my day normally, and they often hang around for two days. Plus the nausea that usually accompanies them. Do you guys have any tips? The two things I've found to help a bit are eating something, drinking a bit of coffee, or going for a walk. What do you guys do?

Interesting sign of progress

Forums:

For about a year before I got sick, whenever I got out of bed, I would not be able to walk the first 5 or 6 steps because my calves were so stiff. I used to think (before IC) that it was from exercise. Now I know it was that my lymph was SO sluggish that it was pooling-or somehow trapped in my lower legs. This went on for two years in treatment. Just after the two year mark my legs feel normal when I get out of bed!! Dr. Brizman says this is a very good sign that my lymph is clearing. Fingers crossed!!

A positive story

Forums:

I don't go on here often.  I started seeing Dr. Brizman 9 years ago.  When I first arrived in her office I was living in 8/10 pain everyday.  I was in agony.  I had pain with sex, constant UTI's, and constant bladder pain even when I did not have UTI's.  This disease was ruling and destroying my life.  I had spent years exhausting every avenue of western medicine.  Not only were those providers not compassionate, they gave me treatments that made me worse.  When I walked into Matia's office and told her my story- I received compassion and understanding.
