How is your diet at 1 year....

Hi All

I've been on the diet for almost 12 months now. I was hoping my IC would have gone now but it hasnt. I'm in general quite a lot better, but I can still have some nasty periods & days. I have had many days where I feel 90% better though which is great.  My IC never seems to really want to go though.

I havent found any new foods really makes a difference to my IC , except spices which I keep away from. To be honest I have found it the hardest thing to judge as to whether a food makes it worse - I can never really tell.

Seaweed and Sunflower Oil

Wondering if anyone knows if seaweed is okay to eat for someone on List 1 just moving to List 2 (i.e. as used in vegetarian sushi - like cucumber rolls)? Also, sunflower oil... I found these very tasty potatoe chips that only have potatoes, sunflower oil and sea salt in them. so far i haven't had any issues when i've eaten them, but wondering if Matia has ever specifically said anything about sunflower oil being bad for us.

traveling and water

I have been traveling a bit lately and finding it very difficult especially when in an airport to find suitable drinking water. I know Matia has many patients who do travel for work and what not and I wondered if they could offer any advice as to what they do in airport situations. I have found that the only available water most of the time is 'Dasani' which is purified and gross and not good for us to drink. 

Yeast die off?

I just started treatment with Matia in late Oct. Things have been a little bumpy with my urgency and frequency but up until now I haven't had any die off. At least none that I'm aware of. Then about a week ago I started having vaginal yeast. It is progressing and now it burns when I urinate. It is always worse first thing in the morning and feels better as the day progresses. Matia told me that I could insert plain yogurt twice a day and that has helped. One day is so different from the next. Yesterday I felt great and today I feel terrible. My diet has not changed.

I am having a real hard time today lots of cleasing. I still haven't left my house other then to take a walk in a long time. I have only left 6 times in the past 9 months. I feel like life is passing me by and i have no control. I am so tired all the time I feel like a narcoleptic. I know I am going through a lot of hormone changes and it doesn't make it easy. i wish i could just be like a normal person take some regular herbs even biodetical hormones and be done with this mess. I am so sick of feeling this way. It has almost been a yr and I hardly go anywhere.

I am trying to expand my food list. Has anyone tried goat, ostrage or any other oncommon meat. I did do buffalo already and it was too rich. I am wondering about rabbit as well. Any of you on list one and two or those of you who did when they were on list one and two. I would love your feed back on other sources. SO far all i seem to be able to eat is crab, shripm and beef. I am looking for sugestions.

hello my name is torey. i am 21 year old female from ohio. about 6 months ago i feel like my life changed over night. i was one of the healthiest ppl i know(so i thought) and have been going to doctor after doctor trying to figure out whats wrong with me.i kept feeling like i have bladder infections but came out negative. im not even sure if i have ic but it just makes sense and to be honest i dont even think i should go get diagnosed by a western doctor b/c i dont want to chance making the problem worse.

Can snacks be from just one food grouping (veggies/starches/protein)?

Re: the food groupings (veggies/starches/protein), can snacks can be from just one group or must every meal even snacks include all 3 to keep it balanced?

I'm also curious what kind of List 1 snacks people have come up with/found to help with the hunger between meals?  Specifics would help, like brands/types info... i.e. if it's rice cakes, what brand do you like? and is flavored allowed or just plain?
